I've got a little kitty puppet that I've made, but I can't come up with a voice or a character for him. Right now he's mute. While that works in some situations, are there some suggestions for creating a voice/character for him?

Here's the link to the thread where I introduced him:

Any ideas?

I'm just throwing this out there, but what about keeping the character mute? That might be totally impractical for what you want to do, but sometimes it's really effective to do that because it allows the audience to project a character on to the puppet. It's also a neat puppeteering challenge because the character is created entirely through it's movement.

I agree with Buck-Beaver. Mute might be a good idea. But yeah, otherwise I would go with a scratchy Rowlf type voices, just a little squeakier, kind of like Gonzo but more cat-like. When I saw him, I kind of saw a kaniving (sp?) little gambler, street smart type character, if that helps. Good luck.
