I got to say, those dumb little kids who banged their heads, emulating this guy really screwed it up for us who didn't. However, I bang my head quite a lot, and it has nothing to do with Don Music!

What were some of your favorite Don Music moments?

Some I vaugely remember,

He tries writing the themsong, but he can't do it!

He writes this weird little ditty, with the Help of Kermit that goes:

Twitter Twitter little Bird,
isn't eating Worms Absurd?
Try a Ham and chese on rye
or a piece of Cherry pie!
But if those worms are all you want,
Don't come into my resteraunt!

He tried to write the declairation of independance, but Grover brings him things that rhyme with quill.

That's all I can remember, how about you?

Hmmm. There are quite a few of those on the Sesame Street Lyrics Archive. I do remember that skit where he needed a quill. I also remember his appearance at the end of "20 and Still Counting" where he suggested they sing a song. Then the whole cast starts singing that famous song, "Sing."

i only really remember "Mary Had A Bicycle".

funny moments you might have missed
KERMIT: What DO little lambs do?
DON: Well, they go baa (funny how he didn't say it like BAH, he said BAW)

After Don hit his head on his piano, his glasses went to the tip of his nose and it made his face look, well, smaller.

Don keeps on looking at the camera briefly for some reason.

these are some of the things Kermit thought of while helping Don-
KERMIT: Mary had a little lamb, it's fleece was white as snow, and everywhere that Mary went, that lamb was sure to run!
DON: But that doesn't rhyme with 'snow'! It has to rhyme with snow!!!
KERMIT: (does his angry nose-bend thing) Well it doesn't have to rhyme with SNOW.
DON: OF COARSE IT DOES!!!!
KERMIT: NO IT DOESN'T!!!
DON: Oh.

KERMIT: Mary had a little lamb, it's fleece was yellow as the sun, and everywhere that Mary went, that lamb was sure to run.
DON: Nonono
KERMIT: (puts his nose thing up, the felt between his eyes)
DON: That won't work, I mean WHO'S EVER HEARD OF A YELLOW LAMB???
KERMIT: I've heard of a yellow lamb!
DON:..you have?
KERMIT: Well, not many...

KERMIT: Mary had a little canary, it was yellow as the sun, and everywhere that Mary went, that canary was sure to run.
DON: Nonono, canaries don't run, they fly, mostly, I..think...

KERMIT: Mary had a little canary, it was bluer than the sky, and everywhere that Mary went, that canary was sure to fly.
DON: (screaming) BUT CANARIES AREN'T BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
KERMIT: FIGURES!!! (it sounded like he said "Figures", i don't know. it's probably Frog language or something.

well to make a long story short, DON MUSIC KICKS MAJOR A$$!!!!!!!!!!

*I* was one of those kids who banged their heads on stuff, just like Don Music. My sister had this little play piano thing that had Cookie Monster on it. When you hit one of the 4 keys his eyes went around. It was funny. Anyway I'd play with the piano and then slam my head on the keys. Then I would laugh.

Maybe that's why I never had piano lessons.

Don Music: my hero...

Drtooth: the sketch you're talking about, the one where Don sings "Twitter, twitter, little bird. Eating worms is so absurd.", is one I remember after you mentioned it. The point of the matter is that Don's trying to compose the lyrics to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star with improvisational help from Kermit. BTW: Noone did this song better than the Elegants.

I have been known to emulate Don Music a time or two.

I seem to remember him writing his own version of Sesame Street. I don't remember the exact lyrics, but it was sort of like this (I'm sure I'll get corrected):

Stormy night
Everything is a fright
Angry Neighbors
And the sky is dark
Can you tell me how to get
How to get to Yellowstone Park?

I thought it was hilarious when I first heard it that they would parody their own theme song on Sesame Street.

According to Sesame Lyrics Archive, it goes
Stormy Night
Not even a cloud in sight
On my way, to where the sky is dark
Can you tell me how to get, how to get to
Yellowstone Park?

(I'll never get it! Never, never, never, never!)

Mannn!! Ha Ha Ha!!!! I love that! He knows the theme song to the show he's in! Ha Ha!!! Talk about self aware!~

Well, I was pretty good considering I saw it probably 20 years ago! Thanks for looking that up. (I like my version better.)
