So, I thought of something today, and I'm not sure if I'm just late to the obvious joke party, or if I just caught a great joke that's really clever and subtle. Anyway, does the Pigs in Space idea come from the saying, "When Pigs Fly?"

I don't remember ever hearing the joke on the show, or other, but doesn't it sound like a classic Muppet setup? Surely the creative team are much smarter and more clever than me, and I wouldn't put it past them. If anybody else remembers if they've done this joke, please let me know.

Thank you and goodnight.

I really, really wanna say it's a pun on a 1950's TV show/radio serial called "Higgs in Space." I Swear I heard of something with that title that was years and years older than the Muppet Show. I'm only 20 percent sure of it.

Just looking at the title of this thread reminds me of how, in college, you could walk down the hall and say "PIGS IN SPACE" and at least someone would join you.

I don't know why I was suddenly reminded of that.
