The food so great, it deserved it's own thread...

There is no point to the muffin story that I'm aware of. But, what do I know. I'm still considered a newbie.

Every couple of months someone posts about this and asks the very same question. I guess we just don't have a complete answer! LOL!!

I believe it was Cory (beaker) who coined this phrase.

Muffin, as I posted in the "New Members" thread, means to take something completely off-course, or to invoke silliness. For example, if you take a thread from its original subject into something completely different (and usually very silly), you've "Muffined" a thread. Or, if you wish to draw some one into something silly, you could say something to the effect of "have a muffin!".

So, quit your whinnin' and have a freakin' Muffin already!

So basically, every thread on this forum has been "muffed" at some point. (at least the ones I've managed to read so far!)
