On the original song, who was that singer with Ernie? My wife's wondering and I'm too lazy to go make a huge search for it right now.

Thanks for your help

Ernie originally performed the song solo, but the segment was later re-made for SS with Aaron Neville. The version with Neville is available on the new SS 35th anniversary box set.

You might also be referring to Shawn Colvin, who sang the song with :stick_out_tongue: on "Elmopalooza."

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, skip a few, 99, 100, 101, skip a few more, 120.

Rats. One, a thousand, Two, a thousand, Three, a thousand, Four, a thousand.... Close enough.

I'm not familiar with either of these singers (Aaron Neville or Shawn Colvin). Which one of these was the black dude with the earring?

Thanks,

Sesame Street outtake...
Ernie: "All you need is a word that rhymes with -- oh, rats!"
Telly: "Rats... Uh, flats!"

Shawn Colvin did a wonderful rendition of this with Steve Whitmire as Ernie on Elmopalooza...
