Hi, I'm brand new here, but am a Sesame Street fanatic and recently had my first child and am desperate to show her the segments I loved as a kid. I have absolutely Muppet nothing to trade--except my own books, two collections of avant-garde poetry--but would happily pay or barter something else for a tape or DVD. And you would have my eternal gratitude, as well as that of my sister, with whom I share all these lost memories.

Here are the segements I'm hoping for, with the most important on top. But honestly, I'd take anything. I'm so, so sad that SS killed all these.

Some of the sketches and songs you're looking for are available on Sesame Street Home Video releases. (on both VHS and DVD)

You can find reviews of many of these (including a list of the sketches and songs available on them) at this thread.
http://forum.muppetcentral.com/showthread.php?t=22585

"Good Grief, It's Princess #9" (aka "King of 8") is available on "The Great Numbers Game" and "Learning about Numbers"

"Two Little Dolls" (love that song) is available on "Learning about Numbers"

"Sammy the Snake" is available on "The Alphabet Game"

"Alligator King" is available on "Elmo's Sing-Along Guessing Game" and "The Great Numbers Game"

"Captain Vegetable" is a bonus clip on the "What's The Name of That Song?" DVD

"Ten Tiny Turtles on the Telephone" and "Ladybugs' Picnic" are available on "Sing Yourself Silly"

"I'm a Working Dog" and "I'm an Aardvark" are available on "Sing, Hoot and Howl with the Sesame Street Animals"

And check out this page- there's tons of great animation cels from the "Billy Joe Jive and Sunset Susie" cartoons- should bring back some memories!

Also, check out http://www.progressiveboink.com/archive/sesamestreet.html

This page has the author's 25 favorite Sesame Street memories- with lots of classic screenshots and even a few bonus mp3s and stuff (like the "Teeny Little Superguy" theme song!)

hope that helps!
