Molly Ringwald was in Sixteen Candles with Anthony Michael Hall
Anthony Michael Hall was in National Lampoon's Vacation with Chevy Chase
Chevy Chase was in Follow That Bird and co-anchored (?) the news with Kermit the Frog...

not to mention that Chevy Chase was on Saturday Night Live with frequented (for a while) King Ploobis who was performed by Jim Henson who was personal assistant to Kermit the Frog. (Will that work?)

Jack Lemmon was in My Fellow Americans with Dan Ackroyd
Dan Ackroyd was in Anything But Trouble and Blues Brothers, both with John Candy
John Candy was in Follow That Bird with
Kermit the Frog.

Now someone do Buster Keeton (man these are getting harder and harder).
