Obviously I won't ask what you all do for a living (some may want to keep that info personal) but what do you LOVE about your job...what do you HATE?

I work at a daycare.
I LOVE it cuz I'm in charge of a room of just 8 three year old children. They're great kids, I have full creative control over programming and room set-up and my boss brings us coffee every morning.

I HATE the pay. It's just a dollar or two above minimum wage. I love what I do, so the pay shouldn't matter, but we have a morgtage...

Your turn!

I work at a bookstore / calendar kiosk. I love the other employees, who are super people. I love the fact that I'm selling things I'm actually interested in, and I love the discount.

I hate having to try to sell people stuff, even if it is a subject I enjoy. I am a recluse by nature. It's hard enough for me to talk to people at all, let alone try to get them to buy something. My job also doesn't allow for any outlet of my creativity. It would be nice to make a living doing something I feel like I'm really good at...

What I love about my current job is that it lets me be on a computer for most of the day. But, what I hate about it is that it provides a lousy paycheck at the end of the week. The good with the bad, I suppose. -shrugs-

What I love about my job: I can wear a t-shirt and jeans every day, I can spend hours on the computer and the pay is not too bad

What I don't love: This is so not what I went to school for and I'm really not all that good at it!

Oh well, I'm going to get a different job after I get married in May.

Job?

i just recently quit my job and traded it in for full time school. but what i hated about that job was the way people talked and spread rumors. the one thing i loved was how the company was really family focused. if you had to leave because of you're kids are sick or you had a doc. appointment, they were all for it. and we could always make up the time too.

For the first time in a while I can say I love my job. They strongly encourage me to be as creative as I can, I get to draw for a living, the people are so wonderful and highly respect me and I bring home a paycheck that I'm proud of.

I hate the commute, not necessarily the distance although it's a long trip (75 miles one way) but rather sitting in traffic. I'm also not into wearing a shirt and tie (so I envy your jeans and t-shirt dress code, Beth!), but compared to the pros of my job, I can easily get over the cons.

I love all the work type aspects of my job but I hate the small minded people I work with and the peanuts pay. That and the fact that I should really be doing something else but I messed up a bit and now my dream job has been delayed somewhat.

i'm a cocktail waitress at a casino.
i'm not fond of the outfits( corset tops with bikini briefs and a skirt that only barely covers my rear and exposes my front) :embarrassed: i'm also not fond of the way people treat me and try to grope me but it comes wiht the territory.it's also incredibly hard work. most people don't realize how hard waitress and barteders actually do work.
i love the quick money and anyone who works in the industry knows it's addictive.i also love the people i work with though working with a bunch of girls has it down side.
when i eventually go back to school and finish i'll be in the child care business.

*I love those kiosks! It's truly a bonus in itself when you get along with your coworkers. I bet you're a great salesperson if there's a Muppet related item on the rack!!
