Grace, every other hybrid we met wanted to kill Johnny. One almost succeeded and the last one was about to mate with him. So it's only natural he's scared of them. Wouldn't you be scared too if every hybrid you met would have attacked you?

Because, IF I HAD A FRIEND THAT WAS ONE THAT HAD BEEN WITH ME THROUGH THICK AND THIN, I WOULD STILL TRUST THAT THE NEW ONE, WHO HAD ALSO BEEN A GOOD FRIEND, I WOULD NOT BE FRIGHTENED!

*glides across the floor and under the front door*
