My Schedule #1: A Retro-themed network

I really, really want a Retro TV network, because Noggin lost its way, TV Land has become a joke, GSN has forgotten that the GS stands for Game Show, Boomerang is getting lamer (and I still can't get it), and there is still a demand for older properties.

Here's something I'd like to see if I could program it:

Weeknights

6 - 9 AM: Breakfast Club: Three hours of kid-friendly animated classics like Inspector Gadget, Denver The Last Dinosaur, Sonic The Hedgehog, ReBoot, Transformers, and G.I. Joe

9 AM - 2 PM: Retro Schoolhouse: Educational programming from the past, uncut and commercial free, including older episodes of Sesame Street, The Electric Company, Square One Television, The Great Space Coaster, Zoobilee Zoo, Lamb Chop, and Eureeka's Castle.

2 PM - 6 PM: Retro Kids: Shows that kids could certainly get into if they actually aired on TV today like Inspector Gadget, Rocky and Bullwinkle, The Smurfs, Fraggle Rock, Voltron: Defender of the Universe, You Can't Do That on Television, and Pee-Wee's Playhouse

6 PM: The Muppet Show
7 PM: Dinosaurs
7:30 PM: ALF

8 - 9 PM: Screen Gems Television (an hour from the Screen Gems/Columbia/MGM television library every single night)

9 PM: Laugh-In

10 PM: Dragnet
10:30 PM: Barney Miller

11 PM - Midnight: Retro UK: British comedies like Monty Python, Benny Hill, Father Ted, and others.

Midnight-2 AM: Midnight Matinee

2 - 3 AM: Screen Gems Television (replay)

3 - 6 AM: Infomercials (because you have to pay the bills somehow)

If you could own and schedule your own cable channel, what programs would you put on?

Here is my idea for a regular weekday schedule. I think I might be dreaming too much for a schedule like this, though. It seems like most cable channels these days are owned by companies that only want to broadcast what they own the rights to.

Monday-Friday:

3:00 AM Sesame Street (select episodes from 1969-1978)
4:00 AM The Electric Company
4:30 AM Looney Tunes (mostly black and white, musical, and/ or politically incorrect cartoons)
5:00 AM Crusader Rabbit (4-5 five-minute episodes)
5:30 AM Dinosaurs
6:00 AM The Red Green Show
7:00 AM Sesame Street (select episodes from 1969-1982)
8:00 AM Muppet Babies
8:30 AM Fraggle Rock
9:00 AM Garfield and Friends
9:30 AM Super Mario Bros. Super Show
10:00 AM Alvin and the Chipmunks
10:30 AM Darkwing Duck
11:00 AM a TV special
12:00 PM a movie
This is the best schedule ever!!
