Thats awesome! I have only read two sherlock Holmes ,is it the Scarlet letter? and Hound of the Baskervilles. I would of read more by now but we don't go to the library often and when I've been there they have such a poor selection that I could only find those two. I'll have to keep my eye's open and look in second hand books shops and the like. I don't know why but I like old books better.

Close!

The first Sherlock Holmes story (which was first seralized in Beeton's Christmas Annual in 1887) was called A Study in Scarlet. A year later, it came out as a novel.

To help you find further titles easier, here's a complete listing of Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes novels and short stories in book form:

A Study in Scarlet - novel

The Sign of the Four - novel

The Hound of the Baskervilles - novel

The Valley of Fear - novel

Conan Doyle wrote 56 short stories featuring Holmes and Watson. They are collected under various titles, but here are the originals:

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes

The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes

The Return of Sherlock Holmes

His Last Bow

The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes
