Alrighty, I am 20 now and I remember these toys being popular when I was six, so help me out people! I remember going to Toys R Us and seeing large animatronic toys that would read books and sing songs, they weren't mobile, they seemed to be built into the box, however that could have been becuase I was only allowed to play with the displays. These toys worked like Teddy Rukspin I think but seemed more articulate. Anyone have any idea what I am talking about, and if so where I can find one?
I do own one (a less complicated and more affordable version on what I remember dreaming about) It is a big bird doll. You can put cassette tapes (in his butt! Hilarious when I was younger) then he reads the story on the tape while moving his mouth and blinking. I would love to get a hold of another one of these. (Mine was very loved, and now very broken)
