Hi all! I'm assuming at least a few people here are familiar with the late comedian/puppeteer Wayland Flowers with his puppet character Madame. I was just curious if anyone had any insight or guess as to how she is made, exactly? It looks like she has a hard head, with a fabric body. Simple enough; but what is the material her head is made out of? Wood Putty that was put in a plaster mold after sculpted with clay? Also-if you are familiar with the act, she changes costumes frequently. Did they just have easily-removable costumes that fit on over one puppet, or did Wayland have multiple Madames?

Thanks guys. Just curious.
