Here I aaaaaaaam!

OK, so I bought these gifts meself a couple of months in advance... But it's the thought behind it, isn't it?
Got three Spanish music CD's for my mom, one she took immediately by Leonardo Fabio, and two more collection CD's we gave her for Christmas between my siblings and myself. Got a purse for my sister, which one of my brothers picked up, and some B-Day cash was doled out to my two brothers.

What did I get? *Don't know how to do it fancy "List of (x) items", so I'll just say what I got.
(These are all DVD's incidentally).
1 School House Rock, need to return it unsure if I can, all of the Money songs are unviewable.
2 The Corpse Bride, rully looking forward to watching that.
3 Sesame Street Old School Volume 1, already watched the first disc.
4 The World According to Sesame Street.
5 The Best of The Electric Company, Volume 1.
6 The Best of The Electric Company, Volume 2.
7 Fraggle Rock, Season 1.
8 Fraggle Rock, Season 2.
9 The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland.
10 Kermit's Swamp Years.
11 Songs From the Street CD set.

The order I placed at the store included the Green & Red Christmas CD, but since I've heard all of those songs here on MC Radio, I might either forget about it or try to get the remastered release of A Christmas Together instead.
So that's what I got, lots of stuff to watch during the holiday vacations. Have a great day you guys.

Wow, like a_Mickey_Muppet said, almost everyone got "Before You Leap". I asked for it, but didn't get it! Actually... I didn't get anything Muppet! Oh-no, waitaminute, I got "Labyrinth" and the JHH "Greek Myths" on DVD. :embarrassed: I did get some very awesome loot though:
• Venture Bros. Season One DVD
• A super long Santa hat
• PJ's
• Guitar Hero II for PS2
• Marvel Ultimate Alliance for PS2 (I'll tell you what I think soon, muppetwriter!)
• Lots of $$$ and gift cards
• A black 30 gig video ipod!

Hey Barry & Faylo, do you know where the people who got your Muppet calendars got them from? I know they're online, but I was wondering if they might've got 'em from a store. I went to Barnes & Noble, Borders, Target, Walden Books and literally dozens of those mall calendar kiosks without a drop of luck.

Looks like it was a good muppet year all around! It's funny, because my aunt is the one who finds most of the coolest presents for me, (last year she spent an insane amount of time and money tracking down Rocky Mountain Holiday for me), keeps asking me, "So, did you and your friends compare notes yet?"
Let's see... For me:

various cookies and candy, and a little jar of apricot honey, (random but appreciated)
two Animal key chains
two different muppet notepads
the Miss Piggy picture frame from Target, (I know it didn't get good reviews here, but I like it.)
very cute snowman musicbox holding a little snowball, (awww!)
two sets of muppet pins from Target also
puffy muppet stickers
A Red and Green Christmas
Santa 8 ball DVD game
a couple of skirts
It's Not Easy Being Green on CD, (I wish some of the other Henson-related books were available)
air freshener and lots of bath salts!
a bodhran, (traditional Celtic drum, coolest non-muppet gift ever!)
eliphant god statue from my friend who's a yoga instructor
lots of sweaters and one pair of PJs
the 50 aniversery Kermit statue, (Is this the Thinker you were talking about?)
Hallmark and Disney Storybook muppet ornaments, and a glass cat ornament
two tiny and very cute picture frame ornaments, one with Bigbird and one with Cookie Monster on top
giant Bigbird Pez dispensor
John Denver and Muppets CD and an extra copy of Red and Green Christmas, (willing to sell if anyone wants it)
Dark Crystal collector's addition
25 year celibration of Sesame Street music on DVD
and last but not least, my favorite gift for cuteness and uniqueness, four glass muppet jars for holding tea, sugar, Etc.

Yeah, I know that was insanely long,
:embarrassed: but remember, I have a rather large extended family, most of whom are overly generous!

I got a good haul this year too. For one thing, I've received a new laptop, since my old one's been having lots of problems lately. (You know how during the setup, they ask you to type in a name for the computer; I've christened mine 'Scooter.')

I also got:

a bottle of coconut-lime-verbena shower gel
a bottle of body splash, same flavor as above
an illustrated volume of Sherlock Holmes stories
a couple of assorted rock concert videos
a really nice shoulder bag with a map of the London Underground on it
a box set of Alfred Hitchcock's earlier films
a set of black-and-white Sherlock Holmes films
a weird-looking fiber optic light, the fibers of which glow blue

My brother got, among other things, the first season of SNL; we've watched a few episodes so far, and I'm only interested in the Land of Gorch segments, natch.

I'm going to be contrary here and first point out these two things I got: I got to spend time with family, and received inspiration at my church.

Now as for regular gifts:

  • A lot of really nice shirts and PJs, you can never have too many
  • A DVD of the Dick Cavett show, with appearances by Rock legends like George Harrison
  • Sesame Street Old School DVD
  • Book of Star Trek memorabilia up for auction at Christie's (No I can't afford any of it, it's just fun to look at!)
  • Lord of the Rings DVD

When I looked at the list I posted here of all the Muppety stuff I got for Christmas, it seemed so small. Then I realized that I bought a few goodies for myself just before Christmas. Here is my revised Muppet Christmas loot:

Sesame Street Old School, Vol. 1
The World According to Sesame Street
Fraggle Rock, Season 2
A Lenox Cookie Monster ornament
Before You Leap (for my birthday)
The Christmas Toy on VHS (I bought for myself)
Fozzie Bear plush from Disneyland (I bought for myself)
Kermit antenae topper (I bought for myself)
Silver Kermit charm (I bought for myself)
Sesame Street Christmas collectors plate from 1981, the year I was born (I bought for myself)
8x10 picture of Jim Henson and Kermit from the Macintosh "Think Different" campaign ad (I bought for myself)
