I am about to meet a very old friend for the first time in years. I'm nervous.
I wish I were as equal to the best life has to offer as I am (sometimes) to the worst...

    Okay, here's an odd one!

I'm sure as Muppet fans, we've had this happen many times: we get a song stuck in our head but the version of the song isn't the "regular" one but the Muppet version of it. Happens to me all the time.

Well the latest song stuck in my head is same concept; different fandom. Last night i heard Pat Benatar's "We Belong" on the radio for the first time in awhile and i really like the song (as well as Pat in general) but today, the song's been stuck in my head...but not Pat's version but - of all things - the version of it from ONE LIFE TO LIVE!!!

How's that even possible, you ask? Several years ago OLTL did some special musical episodes as a take-off of High School Musical and with the recent success of Glee, they did another run of musical episodes last year which is where the OLTL version of We Belong comes from. I dearly love Pat's original but there are actually parts of this version i prefer! (and as i said, it's been stuck in my head all day!!)

Another OLTL song that often gets stuck in my head is from the first musical; Kathy Brier (who's starred in Hairspray on Broadway; i always love when she sings on the show) singing "Chemistry"

Not evil at all - if someone gets Cyndi stuck in my head, my response is "thank you" (i was just listening to that song this weekend as well as "Shine")

If people just know/remember Cyndi from the debut album, they may tend to dismiss her as a borderline novelty act since her persona was so colorful but she is an incredible artist who just gets better and better (she's actually in my top 10 favorites) My fave Cyndi tracks are I Drove All Night, Who Let in the Rain, and The World Is Stone.

Great...now I have Pat Benatar AND Cyndi fighting for dominance...hey! Someone get me a fight promoter! What a GREAT matchup!!

Wow - that WOULD be quite the battle...Pat has "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" to her advantage where Cyndi has her whole wrestling connections.

Watching the Halloween Music Choice channel on Comcast (excuse me, I mean xfinity), I can't seem to get this Jonathan Richman song "Vampire Girl" out of my head... I can't help but envision a TMS-esque production number out ofit,

For some reason, after reading Snowth's post, I now have "Punk Rock Girl" playing in my head... woo hoo!

Appropriately enough for Halloween, today i've had Shakespear's Sister & Billy MacKenzie's "Do I Scare You?" in my head!

Oh gawd. This morning I was a bit listening to the radio, when suddenly Coldplay's with 'Paradise' showed up. It'll be stuck in my head FOREVER.
