I know SS debuted in 1969 with season 1, and in 2003 started season 34. But then we have 34 seasons in 35 years. I dont understand: was there a year without Sesame Street, or did a season air in 2 years? Or is it more complex. Maybe somebody could provide me list of seasons and in wich year they aired?

Tommy, this might help you sort Sesame Street's seasons. Though I'm not 100% sure this is right, perhaps other forum members (namely Secret Squirrel) can shed some light on the subject and either clarify or correct my information. My theory is that Sesame Street produces a total number of episodes for each season/year and airs them daily on all five days of the week, rather than the norm for other shows who produce a season's worth of episodes while being assigned only one day of the week. In spite of Season 33 starting in February 2002 and Season 34 on April 7, 2003, Sesame Street usually starts up their season in January or within the actual calendar year pertaining to that particular TV season. Here's a list that might better explain my point.
Season 1: September 1969/1970 (but we know it really began on November 10, 1969)
Season 2: September 1970/1971
Season 3: September 1971/1972
Season 4: September 1972/1973
Season 5: September 1973/1974
Season 6: September 1974/1975
Season 7: September 1975/1976
Season 8: September 1976/1977
Season 9: September 1977/1978
Season 10: September 1978/1979

The new season always used to start in November, as far as I can recall. Then starting in Season 31, it went to January. Then in 33, it was February. And now it's April. I think it's because they couldn't get everything done in time.
