What's the big stinkin' deal about Titanic? (don't answer that)
I was wonderin' that back in '97, and I'm still wonderin' about it now. Never saw it theatrically. Saw it once pan & scanned when it came out on VHS, just to see what all the fuss was about.

I tell ya, I was totally surprised by the ending. I had no idea the ship would sink!

To be honest with you, while I love DiCaprio and Winslet, my real love for this movie lies with all the lower class folks being left to die. It leaves an impression on you when you lean back and think, "Wow. this really happened. People really did this to other people."

In all seriousness (even though I didn't care for the film, but still like DiCaprio and Winslet), I did get choked up as the ship was sinking, and we saw that elderly couple in bed, choosing to go to eternity together, rather than trying to escape, and the mother telling her children to go to sleep.
