They are Easter "egg" soccer balls from Walmart. I wiped off the printed soccer ball markings with acetone. Probably just the sphere part of a plastic egg would work too.

Look carefully at the Project Puppet patterns, then start turning their basic head-shapes around. What I mean by that is if you turned the Sock Puppet pattern vertical (so the mouth is at the top), you'd have the shape of your characters' crown. Then if you use the Sock Pattern again in normal...
Here's my latest. It's based on a drawing by my client, Frog Puppeteer right here on the forums! He's made of anti-pill fleece and adapted from the Project Puppet Simple Series Roly Pattern. I made a foam shell for the body to help support the tail. His eyes are plastic baseball "Easter Eggs"...

I can usually figure out how stuff was done, and this type or performance is way different than your usual puppet stuff, so CGI and post production could be the answer…

In the video, I show inserting a tube into the hand for the arm rod AFTER the fleece is sewn on - not the easiest way to to do it! I messed up and sewed too far on the fleece. It's far easier to insert the tube into the foam palm shape and glue it in place - THEN sew the fleece around it. Learn...
