What about Suncoast or Sam Goody? Very good places to check in the mall. EB can be good too

Just a note, I believe Media Play, Suncoast, and Sam Goody are part of the Musicland chain, so they all carry the Musicland exclusives (the vacation figures, Crash Gonzo, etc).

Anyway, DMX -- you seem to be a saavy eBayer, so I'd have to say that would be your best bet for all the older stuff. If you don't have the quick access to the Musicland chain or EB, just do that. But, I'm sure you've figured that out by now.

As I have stated in a few other threads. I have No Media Play, Suncoast stores. Just one small Sam Goodt that's a distance away from me. My EB neart me is very small too and doesn't carry the figures. The only place around is Target and they haven't got any in since I started collecting about 3 wks ago. All they have is like 3 differnet ones from series 4. So, ebay and other internet sites are like my only choice. I'm still looking for a good price on Zoot from series 3 repaint or non repaint. It's going for like $55 on ebay.

wow, lots of new collectors...nice to see.

I buy everything that is available at retail. That means all exclusives and repaints, but does not count industry giveaways or special things like the wedding set.

So far, I'm doing good in that regard...only figure missing is ww dr. teeth.

I do have a few giveaways that I fluked onto, such as the holiday kermit, black jacket rizzo and fully invisible beaker

actually, I'm willing to trade those for a ww teeth if anyone is interested...send me an email at ltotstryder@yahoo.com for more information

I collect those Muppets which I like or think are cool. Unfortunetly money and actually finding Muppets both limit my purchasing habits more than anything. I wouldn't mind having all the Muppets!! Since I can't afford that, I get what I can, but there are a few I would buy if I saw them again.

I really wish I would have bought Scooter & Rowlf when I saw them, because it wasn't long after I passed them up that I really regretted not kick starting my collection quicker!

Lew Zealand was my first Muppet figure. Fozzie soon joined him. They hung out a while until Koozebane Kermit finally made it a trio. My wife got a Rizzo for her desk. Then an eBay "lot" purchase gave my trio some filling out with Dr. Teeth, Floyd, two variations of Piggy, Crazy Harry, Super Gonzo, and the Muppet Labs (minus Beaker  )

I haven't seen Series Five anywhere yet, and really want a Pepe, but I have seen Series Six already, so I'm afraid I may have missed him! I'd like a Vacation Pepe as well.

I'm very looking forward to Johnny Fiama and Sal Manilla (though not sure which variations I'll get), Shifty-Eyed Sam the Eagle, naked Rowlf with the Backstage set, Toys R Us Animal, Uncle Deadly and quite possibly Dr. Phil Van Neuter.

Any others I can get my hands on are bonus, but those are the ones I really hope to be able to get at the least! :zany: :zany:

Well, I collect anyhting I see, and get it if I have the money on me, but the best place for muppet stuff is belive it or not is garge sales, thrift stores and places like that, cuz well, lets face it, most people "grow out" of the muppets/sessame street/ fraggles and well, thats when I get things for like .10!!! :) oh the joys of bargens.....

Maybe I can be a little help here...

Dude, I have the vanishing cream Beaker and he's not that hard to find from what I hear.
If you need some more f those, I know where you can at least get a few...
Boxingcow.com has EM playset and a few others still for decent prices. And the shipping/ packaging is AWESOME to ensure safe arrival. Geez, this is a plug for someone totally unaffiliated with me... I must be getting soft.
Anyway, I just got the EM playset from him and it ROCKS. So far it's my second fave. Animal is my favorite fig so far as well, making that set AWESOME.
Good luck making up the rest of your collection DMX, sounds like you're off to a heck of a start!!!

Yea I'm doing well, running out of room, but that's ok. I'll have to check out boxingcow.com. I few of them on the list I can get, but just haven't bought yet, but most of them are ones I'm having trouble finding for a decent price.

I, personally, am a "near" completist... I have at least one of everything that has been released thusfar, including regular figures, repaints, store exclusives, collectors club exclusives, and so forth. I have a couple of members of the industry exclusive department, but like many of us, I do not have them all such as white tux Rowlf, black tux Rizzo, invisible Beaker, WW Dr. Teeth, and the ever so coveted Wedding Kermit & Piggy.

I am well aware that Palisades might be doing a Muppet Theater (we all hope!!!!), but I've decided to collaborate with a good friend of mine to build one myself that is to scale. Granted, it will need a room of its own! But his work in building scaled models of Star Wars sets for the figures are unbelievable -- the cantina's detail is amazing. Anyhow, that is my next project with him since he offered to help with it!! =) I'll keep everyone posted...

I'm a poor college student, so I am getting mostly the regular versions of my favorites characters, the only exception to this so far is that I'm getting Frog Scout Robin (I'm an avid Girl Scout). Plus I want the backstage set. Right now I have only eight figures (sigh), but I don't have a lot of space either. I'm happy with what I have, overall.

    What ones?

    In order:
    1. Rizzo
    2. Purple Tux Gonzo
    3. Kermit
    4. Statler
    5. Waldorf
    6. Fozzie
    7. Scooter
    8. Floyd

Rizzo is special; not only because the figure is so awesome, but he's the first one I got and my uncle took me to Target to get him during my fall break in St. Louis.
The last 3 are in unopened boxes under my bed. I plan to open them when I need a good cheering up sometime, or as a reward for good grades. I would love to have Zoot but can't afford him, so I'm not really bothering to collect the Electric Mayhem. I like Animal too, but can't afford/have no place for the whole playset (same with Beaker); it's pointless anyway without the EM. I think the Dr. Teeth and Janice sculpts need a little bit of work anyway.
