Miss piggy singing with adele.
Thinking of what TMZ said last week. It would be interesting to see Miss Piggy and Ivana Trump together.
*thinking 1982 now* Maybe some of the casts from Happy Days. Like Henry Winkler or Tom Bosley. I want to say Ron Howard. But Ron would be gone from Happy Days during 1982.
Gary Coleman might have had been famous during this time.
The existing Beatles during this time. Paul, George, & Ringo.
Last person. I would like to see Desi Arnaz.
Jim ending The Muppet Show mainly because we wanted to make The Dark Crystal right? Was there ever a thought of a revival around Jim's time, before finally deciding on MuppetTelevision?
Not quite. The Dark Crystal was already in development a few years before ending TMS. Actually, Henson and co. wanted to end TMS after five season because they wanted to end while the show was still on top. It was actually a smart idea. It would be the end of new TMS episodes, but certainly not the end of the Muppets.
Yeah, Gary was pretty famous at the time. If he had been on TMS in '82, he would have been the youngest guest star to appear.
But I think part of it was also that Jim wanted to focus his energy on other ideas he had, though, such as for The Dark Crystal and Fraggle Rock.
Oh, I see what you and mupcollector1 mean there. Yeah, Jim wanted to move more into doing movies and whatnot.
He wanted to end with a bang.
Now when everyone was tired of the muppet show
I think it was a combination of the two. He wanted TMS to end while it was still on top, and he wanted to be able to move onto other things without having to do a weekly series.
If TMS did do a sixth season, here's who I guess could be excellent guest stars.....
*Olivia Newton John
*Jerry Orbach (He's the guy who was Lumiere in Beauty and The Beast, for those of you that don't know)
*Robert Englund (He'd make a great guest star for a Halloween episode)
*Ray Bolger (If they made the season before his death in 1987)
*Jerry Lewis (the comedian. He'd be great for the show!)
(I would do more, but that's all I could think of.......)

My list of people who I would to have been ina sixth season of the Muppet Show or more seasons after that:
Morecombe and Wise
Any of the Beatles
Screamin' Jay Hawkins
Count Gore de Vol
Cool list, Ignatz! You may be even smarter than the average human.
I was struggling at the time I wrote it to think of that many female guest stars. My list also was going to have some drag artists on there but I didn't know how apropriate that would be for the Muppet Show. So any way here are some of my female guest stars
Zsa Zsa Gabor
The Del Rubio triplets
I actually have written an outline for Carole King on The Muppet Show.
That sounds great! Where can I read it?
It's the third outline.
Separate names with a comma.
