Of course my family is on top of my list. My parents, my cousins who're like brother and sisters to me, and my uncle who is a great dude to hang out with. Also quite a lot of my friends. You know who you are, folks.

Other people are:
----
Jim Henson and the Muppets

Bert Plagman, the puppeteer of Sesamstraat character Tommie, without whom I would not have become a puppeteer

Pieter van Empelen, an old style Dutch cabaret pianist (Tommie, you know him?)

Aad Spee, a Dutch theatre director whom I worked very close with. Together with Pieter and the rest of a musical crew, he taught me that "people are allowed to shine"

Thomas Acda and Paul de Munnick, a Dutch music duo

All my friends are really influential. Actually, there are a lot of v. influential people at MC. But really, I think Jake Shears is my main influence. Also people like Elton John and George Michael and Graham Norton....just people who feel no shame about themselves whatsoever. I think that's the best way to be.

Forgot to add Bob Geldof and Bono. What they've done to help Third World Debt and poverty etc. is unwordable and amazing and they should both be sainted. Defo.
