Max Goof, I'm also surprised no one has mentioned Bean Bunny!! Maybe he should come with Rizzo!

Other than the ones mentioned, I dunno why, but I'd love to see a Mickey Moose and Ronald Duck figure. I dunno! That bit stuck me as funny!

Actually, there is a Splurge toy of sorts. It was in the Jim Henson's Scary Monster KFC collection. It was something like a Bow Biter (that is an ornimentation designed to put laces on kisd shoes and keep them tyed) and another toy is on a color forms like set in the same promotion. They are hard to track down, but everyone would push for the action figure more!

bean bunny: Yeah, he seemed to be a major player in the late 80's. I personally WOULD LOVE to see a Clifford Muppet since any fan knows him and Pepe have been next generation big guns for awhile.

Yeah, thats neat how Splurge had his own side project in the Scary Scary Monsters project. Unfortunately besides Sesame and Cinderella, he was only in the briefly rumored test pilot for the SSM cartoon.

Im curious to see how Palisades will handle bgi guys like Sweetums, Doglion, Thog, etc if these get made.

    Beaker,

I got the feeling from your post that you didn't know that Sweetums is set for the Deluxe Stage Playset. That won't be out until next year of course. And of course that all depends on the popularity of the line.

Hey, I want that cajun shrimp guy too as a figure! What's his name again???

Clifford would be good-- probably a fun figure to work on in terms of the sculpt and all.

Pops is my number one choice for one not already announced.
Actually he would be an ideal Club Exclusive, should there ever be one. Behind the scenes and all....
  9. UNCLE DEADLY ALL THE WAY!!!!!

I would love to see a Uncle Deadly figure, as well as Hilda, and George, Lips, and Nigal.........

I'm going to come out and show my support for Lips (though how would you do an info sheet for him on the package? Better get a message to Steve Whitmire pronto!:)), the Frackles, the Carrot, Annie Sue, Nigel, and the brown-haired doe-eyed girl Whatnot from Season One (dubbed by one of our own as 'Sexy Muppet', which seems an apt description).

I think the Carrot would be an awesome addition, especially since the Gilda Radner episode is one of the best-remembered of the series (whenever you read a book on the show a description of that episode will usually come up.)

The Viking Pig would be neat too, but it'd probably be a waste without the whole crew and the ship and the village to make it real, and that's too much to ask for.

I'm a bit surprised there isn't more support for Lewis Kazagger seeing as he was a Muppet with his own spot on the show, however rarely appearing those spots were.

BTW, I've made a tally of votes so far. Ken, listen up and make a note of this. So far the tally is:

    Uncle Deadly- 7
    Wayne & Wanda- 6
Mahna Mahna- 4 (I would think this should be Mahna Mahna and the two Snowths, correct? All in favor say "Aye".)
    George the Janitor- 4
    Lips- 4
    Nigel- 4
    Pops- 3
    Annie Sue- 3
    Hilda- 3
    Mildred- 3
The Carrot- 3 (though I would expect this number to go up should he be announced as a feasible possibility)
    A Frackle- 3
    Bobby Benson- 2
    Behemoth- 2
    'Sexy Muppet'- 2

All of the rest are single vote-ers:

Zucchini Brothers (what'sa matter? How come we're forgetting about these guys so easily?)
    Lewis Kazagger
    The Bossmen
    Viking Pig
    The Houses
Gorgon Heap (sniff... it's all right... I'm strong... I can take it... WAAAAHHH!!!!)
    J.P. Grosse
    Miss Mousey
    Fleet Scribbler
    Astoria
    Zelda Rose
Baskerville the Hound (though I might add my vote for him yet; we'll see)

So by the looks of things, Uncle Deadly and Wayne & Wanda are your top vote-getters to date for obscure characters into figures. You may want to consider moving W & W up the list a bit.

    Later.

    poo on you

    Uncle Deadly
    Wayne & Wanda
    Mahna Mahna
    George the Janitor
    Lips
    Nigel
    Pops
    Annie Sue
    Hilda
    Mildred
    Gladys

COME ON! Pleeese! I don't care if you don't want these guys....vote for them!! For the sake of your fellow muppet fans! No one is working together to get the biggest and best collection we can get!?! I don't understand! I say..."Let's have a big Rizzo AND a smaller PVC Rizzo! So everybody's happy!" Then people post things like..."I still just want the big one!" or "I still just want a medium sized one!" WHY NOT VOTE FOR THE "MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY" CHOICES!!! gosh...

I don't get this thread. The thread was what is your FIGURE choice, not FIGURE(s)...if you blast out a list of all the figs you guy want it tends to not be an accurate read of a real "vote".

And I need to point out that this is just an opinion thread...we don't have rights to 3/4 of the figs mentioned here.

    All Right all right,

If I have to vote for one character, I vote for Bobby Benson and his Baby Band!!!!

    Why?

Because I figure Uncle Deadly will most likely be made, and the rest are too obscure.

    Of course I'd still love:
    Zucchini Brothers
    Lewis Kazagger
    Pops
    George
    Wayne and Wanda
    The Carrot

AND THE CAST DRESSED AS ALICE IN WONDERLAND FROM THE BROOKE SHIELDS EPISODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lewis Kazzager all the way. Besides I'd like to see Ken pull off that plaid jacket. We all know he can do it, but I wanna see it for real.
  15. CrockAlley New Member

I want to see the giant blue guy. Thog, I think? Well, you know who I mean. And as for obscure: The Gargling Argyle Gargoyle. Geeze, I can barely type that, let alone say it.
  16. ZootandDingo Member

What exactly are we defining as "obscure" characters? Obscure to us, or to the old guy that lives next door to me?

I'm just asking because I personally don't think of Pops, Uncle Deadly, or Mahna Mahna as really that obscure. I mean, someone off the street may not get their names right, but I'm sure Pops would be more recognized than, for example, Digit.

But if we're talking about third-stringer Muppet Show characters...well, then is there any question who my choice would be?? :)

C'mon, Lips completes the 1980's Electric Mayhem! (Palisades could even put a bubble sticker screaming that, for all I care..."FINISH THE BAND!") Even Henson, with all their supposedly cold receptions to him, would understand the value in releasing more musicians past Series 4.

Someone mentioned that Steve should come up with a background story on Lips. That would be a fun read, since if I understand correctly Steve used to play trumpet himself. I always like it when a performer puts him or herself into a character.

Some of these guys you are mentioning are not Muppet Show characters. Anyway - My pick would have to be Nigel.

Okay, so I love the idea of Mildred (I beat that to death on the old forum) and Uncle Deadly would be fantastic. I also want Thog. But seeing how Nigel was the original host of The Muppet Show - he should definitely come first IMHO.
  18. I'd like to see a figure of Lenny the Lizard.

Wow--this was resurrected after five months!

I'd say Kermit and Fozzie's fictional, freaky dad from TGMC. The green bear with frog eyes and a collar. Still gives me nightmares.

    Quinnnnnnnnnnnnnn
  20. A figure of Droop would be nice as well.
