He lookes like a Drugged Lenny The Lizard. it's awsome. great job.
Thanks everyone for the encouragement. It means a lot to me. I have several more puppets in the process that I hopefully will take some pictures of soon. I am really excited though about the fact I was invited to perform at the local adult puppet slam at the brookline puppet showplace theater. Woo Hoo a live audience. I will let you guys know how it goes. The slam is on NOV. 17th
Oh Congrats onath!
Slams are fun. We just had ours last Friday & Saturday night & it was a hoot.
Here are some more puppets photos for you guys. The two on the left are the most recent additions.
I also have been doing a lot of editing so I should have some more videos soon.
Those are WONDERFUL!
Hey everyone here are some new puppet vids. We are still learning but definately getting better. Its all improv hope you enjoy. Constructive criticism is always welcome.
Hey everyone I have a bunch of news.
First off the puppet slam was awesome in brookline everyone loved the piece and we got lots of invites to do more puppetry work. Not bad for our first appearance. I also got to meet frogpuppeteer from here it was great to meet him and he had a great piece in the show as well.
Second I finally got my website working fairly well. I still want to do a lot of tweaking but its not a bad start. I would be happy if you guys would check it out.
Last I have been getting calls about doing some custom orders for people for Christmas.
Well that's all for me just super excited
oh my gosh, that's wonderful news! The website looks great! Congratulations!
your videos are hilarious!
Thanks for the kind words guys. I really appreciate it.
So I reworked my site fixed some of the problems let me know what you guys think.
p.s. Thanks Buck for putting us on your site.
I got some press too from local radio station.
check it out.
Little's Creatures would like to introduce you to Oliver.
Oliver is a fun loving adventurer, too bad his curiosity gets him in some sticky situations.
All the feathers on the back of the head were hand glued one by one so I could get a nice directional pattern with them. I am the happiest with this puppet of all the puppets I have made so far. Thanks for taking a look.
Oh I love him!
That is a great looking and very original puppet. Looks very professional, and cute.
So, I finished the blue stingray puppet for my client. It was fun to do something a different style than my own and I am happy to say it looks exactly like the customer wanted. It was a very positive learning experience a sting ray body is completely different so that was fun. Trying to hide the seams was a blast and a challenge. But, the thing I struggled on the most was the eyes. Since this puppet was way to small for spoons and ping pong balls I had to be creative.
First I looked into some craft eyes- but it made the puppet look cheap
then stacey gave me a suggestion using pom poms- but alas it blended in too much with the fleece body.
Then I tried carving some make up sponges- didn't look right
lastly which now makes the puppet completely look like the customers drawing. I used some sculpey all cooked up into tiny half domes. I painted it all up and attached them through tiny loops I made in the back to sew them to the body for stability. All in All the customer is happy and that is what matters. I am excited to have gotten a chance to work outside my style(always fun).
Well I will post pictures ASAP for everyone.
But, Lastly I want to thank everyone who gave me advice towards this project.
Ever have problems with heads in the shot? Well, you could always try this.
Hope you enjoy.
here are the photos of the sting ray puppet I made. It was supposed to look like the cover of the book.
