Congrats Ed! That's really exciting!!!
Congratulations on becoming MC's new Moderator Eduardo!
Congratulations mon amigo,on becoming MC's new moderator! I've always hope you would be,and my wish has come true.I know you will do a terrific job.
Good on you, Ed.What a perfect role for you.You will be able to count everybody as they come aboard.Good luck.
I recently punished myself by watching Castle of Fu Manchu again (shudders). Joel, Crow & Servo: I feel your pain!!
With the Count as a new mod, I'm sure he'll offer a swift HIKEEBA to any spammers!!!
No... A double HIKEEBA and a HAAZAH will be doled out to all who incur my wrath!
Or then again... Could always subject them to DEEP HURTING!
BTW: Do you know which movie has the end commentary where Joel and the bots are throwing out titles of the movies they've watched so far to arrive at the worst one ever?
Those commentaries at the end cracked me up as much as the quips during the movie... A particular good one is where Mike's Steve Guttenberg's agent and is cutting through Crow's pitch for a new TV series based on Final Judgment.
Hmmm...is it one of the Godzilla, Gamera or Hercules movies?
I say give any spammers or potential spammers a double HIKEEBA, along with 24 hours of The Castle of Fu Manchu and Santa Claus Conquers the Martians on a continuous loop. And no Hamdingers, either.
That's wonderful. Congrats!
In response to my esteemed MST3K colleague WL...
Hey! I liked Santa Claus vs. The Martians.
And of course, you can't have that one without Santa Claus (the one where he goes to Mexico).
Mike: Dude, Christmas went to Fort Lauderdale for Spring Brake!
Methinks it was one of the Godzilla or Gamera movies, but I'm not sure.
And seeing as how noone likes Hamdingers, wouldn't that be what we'd offer up to all spammers? Force feed them a taste of their own foul medicine?
Anyway... Thanks to all who've stopped by so far.
Whoa, Ed's a moderator now! We'll be counting on you to do a good job...(chuckle)
Congrats, Ed, my fiend.
Thanks Erin... And now I know where to dig up a date from underground should I need one for the Halloween ball. Or maybe there's a Jack-Ie' out in the pumpkin patch...
OK, enough bad jokes.
Fozzie: Are there any other kind?
You might want to have Richard talk to Sylinde, he can give her the number for their cloud to see if even they're happy with the work she's done at the Musique.
Yeah, I think they were doing the movie title thing at the end of one of the Godzilla or Gamera flicks...they'd occasionally riff at the end of the films. For This Island Earth the crew made fun of the names of the people who actually worked on MST3K: The Movie. "The Amazing Rando!!" At the end of Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders, the 'Bots kept confusing themselves with the titles of Ernest Borgnine films. And of course at the end of Joe Don Baker's Final Justice, the 'Bots sing an ode to Joe Don and his supposedly enormous appetite.
Okay, feed the spammers all the Hamdingers you can (I forgot they were icky things)!
Hooray for Santy Claus!!
And once again, Hooray Count, on becoming a mod!!
Ru: How very thrilling! My roomies and I would like to offer our sincere congratulations to you on becoming a force for good on the MC boards.
Kermit: Wow--that does sound exciting! Hey--congratulations, Ed! Great job!
Fozzie: We're "counting" on you! Wocka wocka!
Miss Piggy: Kissy kissy, dear! I feel safer already, and you already know how I feel about spam....
Sam the American Eagle: The Count: keeping the world safe for democracy! And free from fatty pork products.
Miss Piggy: Was that a pork joke?
Sam the American Eagle: No--of course not. I was just, um--
Miss Piggy: Hiiii Yahhhh!
Ru: That's it--that's all of us! Yay for Ed! (looking at Sam the American Eagle on the floor) What happened? Why is Sam on the floor? And why is he in this post?
Fozzie: Stunt joke man.
Kermit: Seemed safer.
Ru: Safer for who? Oh well, congratulations Ed! We're all, um, proud of you!
Congrad and welcome! Glad to have you watch over us. (lol, babysit us? we can get rowdy)
*Runs up; throws confetti*
Again... Thanks to everyone who's stopped by here so far.
Wonder if those deep dish pizzas and fritter platters with different dips are ready yet to be served.
MMmmm... sounds delish. Chicago pizza, anyone?
Ed, let me join the long list of people congratulating you in becoming a moderator. Your dedication and scrupulousness are admirable.
COUNT ON with your bad self!!
Congrats, señor Eduardo! I couldn't think of a more deserving member. I will say though, I never understood why "Santa Clause vs. The Martians" was considered one of "the essentials".
Castle of Fu Manchu (which is REALLY tedious...even the SOL crew break down and admit it) and...
How 'bout Operation Double 007, a cheesy spy spoof made at the height of Bond mania, in the 1960s. Features Bond regulars Lois Maxwell and Bernard Lee. Oh, and Connery...Neil Connery, Sean's younger brother. A truly awful film.
Thanks guys. A round of root beer to the honorable representative from New Jersey.
And Santa Claus vs. The Martians is essential... Because... Well, because it's a Christmas movie. Nuff said.
