Let’s take the time to remember a very important holiday that is coming up on Monday called Memorial Day. Always remember those who died in the service and never forget them either.
Some gave all. All gave some.

What world do you live in or what type of salary are you pulling down where you can honestly say this? The minimum salary for a rookie in the NFL is $480,000. Minimum salary for a 5 year NFL veteran is $790,000. I would guess 90%+ of Americans would love a salary like this. They would have to work 10+ years to make anywhere even near $480,000. Is that your definition of 'not rich'? And that doesn't take in to account 4 years of free college (and the under the table money) or even being coddled throughout high school because they were the star athlete.

Wrong again. Most players do pay a tremendous price physically for playing in the NFL. But have a hard time with medical bills? Hardly. Not true for today's players. Certainly true for players from the 50s, 60s or 70s but today's player's have tremendous benefits. And you make it sound as if the players are forced to play the game. They choose to play football. No one is forced to play it. And I would bet that if you ask just about any NFL alumni they would say that the benefits that they enjoyed from playing in the NFL far outweighs the risks. So to say that is an even greater issue than racism is just odd.
There was so much more than that. Those are the points with which you take issue?

That moment when this song becomes so much more enjoyable as an adult.

Yet another school shooting today, and you know what? I honestly don't give a **** anymore. Nothing is ever gonna change in this country with the GOP in charge of the country, and the NRA being in bed with them: all of these school shootings are nothing more than fap material for gun-totin' conservatives who get their jollies off seeing someone practices their constitutional right to bear arms.

You know what I've recently realized? Conservatives are always demanding facts, statistics, and "the truth," but if you present them with said facts, statistics, and the truth, they will dismiss it altogether if it's not what they want to hear. Case in point: statistics show that countries with stricter gun laws have fewer gun fatalities - whether intentional or accidental - but nope, they won't accept it because that would "take our guns away and infringe on our constitutional rights." Case in point: statistics show that countries with universal healthcare have happier, healthier people; but nope, they won't accept it, because that would destroy the for-profit healthcare industry. Case in point: statistics show that countries with livable wages, paid vacations, paid maternity leaves, and fewer work hours, are more prosperous, more thriving, and more mentally and emotionally sound and peaceful; but nope, they won't accept it, because that would just be giving poor lazy people free stuff they don't want to work for, turn us into a Socialist country, and absolutely destroy our economy.

You can't reason with these people. Give 'em what they want, then they don't want it because it's not what they want to hear.

Oh, hey. Didn't think I'd see you inside my mindset.

The thing I keep hearing from Second Amendment Republicans is that they want whatever types of weapons the government has. Well, the government has nukes, high tech death drones, and armed tanks. We can't have any of these and fighting for them would make anyone look like a fool. Few people would be for that. Few people should support rapid-fire guns. I mean, if someone is going to shoot up a school, at least make it challenging for them. No American should be able to spray bullets into a crowd. But, see, this is what happens. Gun enthusiasts will then offer some extraneous technicality about a particular gun as a distraction and then say something stupid like criminals don't follow laws anyway so why have gun laws. Well, why have any laws? People shouldn't be forced to wear seatbelts, right? Well, that's cut down on the number of road deaths since implemented. That's a good thing. Is it better than one's freedom not to wear a seatbelt? That's not even an argument anyone should be having. The bottom line is the NRA's bottom line and that's all. The NRA is run by the gun lobby and not their membership. The organization is merely a front. They don't care about kids or families, the Second Amendment or the lives of others. They only care about creating more units and more profits for stockholders. They bully our elected representatives into shelving the issue of guns, both parties have been complicit - even the "great" Bernie Sanders. Look it up. He's been as much a fink as anyone else. I'm done with him. I have been for quite some time. The NRA threatens to pull funds from candidates that make things hard for them and to fund a competitor to take their place. They threaten their connections in the private sector so that they'll have a tough time finding a prominent job after leaving office. The NRA is the big bully in the playground. No one else. If we could eliminate their influence, both parties would accomplish something more, by way of gun safety, that would help. It would have happened long ago.
