You Spin Me 'Round - Devo
1999 - (do I REALLY need to put who performed this song?)

Great Gonzo- just don't steal that idea

Another one:

"People Are Strange" by the Doors

Years ago I came up with an idea in which Gonzo is in charge of the show. He puts on all these weird acts, and people who have just wandered into the theater, and cancels all the regular features. In other words power goes to his head. Recently I thought up a backstage scene in which the Electric Mayhem demands their spot- they're going to do "People Are Strange", so he allows them to go on, at the expense of some other acts: the bagpipe playing octopus, the mushroom figure skaters, and the monster opera singers. Well, you can guess what happens. The Electric Mayhem's act is invaded by all of the above mentioned.

My idea! Mine! Use it and I KEEL you! Just want to make that clear to everybody, not that it's really necessary.

"You Spin Me Round" was Dead Or Alive, not Devo.

As for my choices:

-"Don't Shed A Tear" by Paul Carrack
-"You Belong To The City" by Glenn Frey
-"Modern Woman" by Billy Joel
-"Something Special" by Patti LaBelle (I'm thinking Janice for lead)
-"It's My Life" (either the Wendy O. Williams or Bon Jovi songs of the name)
-"Slave To The Rhythm" by Grace Jones (all Jones references become Janice references)

I'm a little tired. This is all I got right now.

Sincerely,
