Your favorite Ernie and Bert skit

There are far too many to narrow it to one, so I'll arbitrarily pick "a" favorite for now....

The skit where Ernie can't sleep, so Bert suggests he counts sheep. But every sheep that Ernie counts audibly goes, "bahhh."

So Bert suggests that Ernie count something else. So Ernie counts fire engines. Of course, thsoe all make a siren blast!

So Ernie decides to count something that makes no noise, a balloon. But with every breath, the balloon gets bigger and bigger, until it pops, making a huge blast! At this point Bert is scared out of his wits. He turns to Ernie, and Ernie says, "One Balloon."

Classic!

 

[Fozzie Bear]

Ernie sculpts Bert's head and realizes he forgot the nose, and having no more clay, takes Bert's OWN nose and puts it on the sculpt!

"I 1 the sandbox,"
"I 2 the sandbox,"
..."I 8 the sandbox!"
Was it good, Bert?!

Bert: Ernie, don't eat those cookies in your bed! You'll get crumbs in your bed and you'll get all itchy and uncomfortable and cant sleep!
Ernie: You know, Bert! You're right!
*Gets out of his bed and into Bert's*
Bert: What ARE you doing?
Ernie: I'm going to eat my cookies in YOUR bed, Bert!

Cookie sleeps over and gets scared of the 'monster' in the corner...but that doesn't really count.

My question, is why were the writers show obsessed with showing Ernie and Bert drowning?

I think they flooded the apartment because basements are known for flooding.

The only "flooding" skit I know is where when Ernie insists Bert that he forgot something after his bath, but couldn't quite place it, then relized he forgot to turn off the water, and the aparment started flooding.

* An anything muppet gives Ernie a check-up, when it's Bert who needs it.

Those are some of my favorites.

One of my favorite skits is where Ernie successfully meets the challenge to clean up the apartment in 15 sec.

There was another one where the apartment got flooded. Ernie kept getting a glass of water from the kitchen faucet, and taking it outside. Bert was trying to figure out what he was doing, and then Ernie explained that the kitchen faucet was broken, and the floor in the kitchen was flooding, and it started flooding the whole apartment.

My favorite: Heeeeeere FISHY, FISHY FISHY! Bert & Ernie go fishing & as Erine call out to the fish, they jump in the boat. I actually have the sound clip from that skit. Classic!

AH! Yes! HEEEREE FISHY FISHY FISHY!!

I do that whenever we go fishing, and we don't catch any fish. I've tried to get the fish's attention by stomping on the bank, throwing things in the water, but we never catch any fish. I guess they're sleeping when we go, huh?

My favorites are "Here, Fishy Fishy" and the one where Ernie pretends to be a doctor and listens to Bert's heartbeat with a stethoscope.
