    Ghostbusters 1 Slimer Puppet Question

Harold Ramis talks Ghostbusters, and halfway thru mentions the size and scale of some of the puppets. http://www.toplessrobot.com/2009/07/seven_minutes_of_harold_ramis_talking_about_ghostb.php

    Seussical

I understand it's hard, but it's not impossible. Seek out Open Mics in your town or nearby. Check the coffee houses, community centers, etc. You can always get a few minutes to do a short piece. I'm also surprised a kid your age hasn't heard of the Internet. Make short videos displaying your...

Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board

We do a free form, and the show operates on a few different levels. Essentially, the show is treated as though the puppets are the performers; they are the ones improvising. The puppeteers are ignored as much as possible. If there's a tag-out, a puppet will tag out the other puppet, etc. So...

    Girl Puppet Voices

I think you were doing the Piggy voice wrong. I mean, it may have sounded just like Piggy, but you were doing it in a way that is unhealthy for you. I cannot impress enough, there are certain things that your voice can and should be able to do, anything else can cause damage to your vocal chords.

    Girl Puppet Voices

Voices are my forte. As you pointed out, the most important thing is to find voices that do not hurt to do; if you are in any kind of physical pain after doing a voice you are doing something bad to your throat and you should stop doing that voice. The parts of our body that make our voice...

    Skinny Genes

My two very talented friends (who bill their duo as "Southern Mothers") created a rap for Detail's Men.Style.com. I assisted by providing a little puppeteering. (I'm no puppet builder, so you'll forgive me that I didn't make that puppet.) Watch for it, it's only two shots a little over halfway...

    Lazy Eye

Remember way back when I guessed that these were puppets of the cast of The View? Just sayin'.

    Creating a Puppet Comedy Troupe

Hey man, I'm in NYC and I have a puppet improv troupe. But I'm primarily an improvisor. Good improv means a lot to me, so I like to remind people that there's a lot more to improv than just games you see on WLIIA? You should check out and see if there are any improv groups in your area, I'd bet...

    I made a Wembley Fraggle

You need to cross the eyes slightly on your puppets - all of them are staring out into space or have lazy eye. Everything else looks fine, really, and much better than anything I can do. Just watch those eyes and your puppets will look 10 times better.

Need advice on adult puppet web-series

I hope I didn't imply that there should be cussing. In my video, the green monster places unreasonable demands on his employee, forcing her to dress up as a Munchkin just because she's a midget. It's an exaggerated exploration of horrible, callous bosses. Yeah, there's cursing in that scene...

Need advice on adult puppet web-series

To plug a bit, you can watch some adult-oriented puppets from my improv show. All three vids are in order on my tumblr: http://shortmikeshort.tumblr.com/ Now, I'm the tall guy with the Italian-looking puppet who does the beanbag chair gag in the third scene. Now, we do drop the f-bomb a...

New Puppet Improv Show in NYC

Check out Part One of the Video. Parents, be warned, we drop the f-bomb and discuss some very adult situations with these puppets. It is definitely not for kids. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zw_TXVHfOEs
