I've known several guys named Sunny (or Sonny, whichever way they decided to spell it). Ususally they use is as a shortened version of a really hard to pronounce name (like Guur Pleheth-Sihn - which I don't think I'm spelling right). Then again, I also live in the land of Peace, Love, and the Flower Children.

I knew a girl named John. Seriously. I kid you not, I once knew a girl named John!

LOL! No, it was an actual girl. As far as I know, it wasn't short for anything, but it could've been.
