"Disney Drive On" possible new web series?

This clip of what appears to be the theme song for a new web series has recently popped up on the Disney website:

"Watch the opening song of Disney Drive-On with The Muppets. Still considered the "new guy" with the Muppets, Walter is given low-level jobs working alongside his fellow Muppets at their office in the famed Walt Disney Studios in Burbank."

From what I can tell, the series will star Walter, Pepe, and...Bobo? That's a strange combo. BUT I LOVE IT!

Series or not, it's great to see that they're using the Muppets in a new project! This should help ease our worries of not seeing another Muppet production after MMW under performed in the box office. Can't wait to see what the future holds!

EDIT: Here's also a little sneak peek of what it'll look like!

New Muppet stuff! Awesome. I'm excited to see what happens with this; my speculation is that this will be a web series where Walter and Pepe and Bobo get "assigned" to various upcoming Disney projects and will work as a soft promotion for them. But whatever it is, I'll be eagerly watching.

I can't wait to see full episodes!! This looks awesome, the theme song look's catchy, the plot for the first episode is hilarious, and it's all awesome. I'm SO exited, considering MMW disappointed at the box office, and the muppets are getting a second chance. I'm so exited. Walter's already warming up to me, after I treated him so harsh for being a meh character in TM and MMW, sorry Walter. This feels like a muppet sitcom, which is something I've always wanted, and it's AWESOME ALL OVER, GOING ALL FAN BOY ON THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Whoa, lowering my fan-boy.

Anyways, I'm glad to see the "new muppets", Walter,Pepe, and Bobo getting to do more. Pepe and Bobo did little in MMW. I can't wait for full episodes, finally a new muppet series I can watch, hopefully it's like a regular weekly series. My only complaint is on the title. "Disney Drive-On...with the muppets" is too much Disney consumerism, this is about the muppets, oh who cares!! :fanatic::fanatic::fanatic::fanatic::fanatic::fanatic::fanatic::fanatic::fanatic::fanatic::fanatic::fanatic::fanatic::fanatic::fanatic:

Funny how Walter thinks Kermit's about to make a new movie, didn't he know about MMW's box office?

Now I'm going to watch those two clips forever until a new episode is released.

I think that they ARE running their own Muppet Studios here anyway and it just so happens that the Muppets have since set up shop on the Disney Studio lot.

I hope this "web series" isn't full of corporate synergy from Disney, but from the looks of the sneak peek I doubt it, which is AWESOME!!!! :fanatic:

I like the sense of the Muppets giving a tour of the Disney lot.

I wonder if Kermit's reaction before he corrects Walter about his plans was a reference to how the film did.

I was thinking about that, probably, but not everyone would get the reference.

Oy, let's not start that debate again...

Yeah, I was wondering that myself. The grimace/scrunch on his face almost says "Yeah, I wish", or "If only". Perhaps it was to say that he didn't want to go on the date with Miss Piggy?

I've been thinking about this production as a whole today, and, of course, I'm excited. I know a few fans may detest the use of Walter as the main character, but, if they play their cards right, I think this show can do loads for him as far as character development goes.

As of late, fans have started to have a mixed reaction towards Walter, mainly his role in MMW. They've been saying things like "Scooter could've filled in his part just fine" or "Was there really any purpose to his appearance?". Now, I don't necessarily disagree to these things. But, Walter is in the beginning stages of becoming a character. I think the writers are still trying to figure exactly who he is as a character. Sure, he's a muppet fan. Sure, he's nice. Sure, he can whistle.

But, that's just about all we know about him so far. I hate it when one of the few words you can use to describe a character is "nice". That's one of the most generic words you can use. I think (and really hope) that this web series can do good things for him. Give him all kinds of traits and quirks, really make him a part of the Muppet family. Then, I hope, he'll be less Scooter-like, and become his own character. Then, they can start downplaying his roles because they've developed him as a character. Win-win situation, really.

As for fans who detest Pepe...sorry. Really nothing I can do for ya.

    According to ToughPigs:

This is a six-part series to be released, starting tomorrow, via the DisneyMoviesEverywhere app.

Suddenly I wonder: Is it really called "Disney Drive On", or just "Drive On", with the Disney logo over it, like how many recent Disney productions have "Disney" (instead of "Disney's") over the titles.

:eek::eek::eek:Wait, is this show only availiable on an APP. Oh no, I won't be able to watch it!! Can someone tell me if they will also show the episodes on YT and the Disney website, because I'm starting to panic.

Considering the theme song says "Disney Drive On", I'd say it's the former.
