Since many of us will be getting the upcoming Fozzie Bear replica, if you order Fozzie or any of the Muppet replicas using this link, a small portion of your order will go to Muppet Central to help keep the site, forum and radio running smoothly. You'll even get free shipping on Fozzie which is a big deal considering this is the largest replica by far. It's a great way to help MC especially with the radio rates going up exponentially. We also want to expand the site into new areas and this is a great way that you can help.

With the Fozzie replica joining Kermit, Animal and Gonzo, you have an opportunity to own a lifelike group of Classic Muppets in your home.

    :) :o :concern:

Feel free to share your thoughts or comments here on the upcoming Fozzie Bear replica.

    To be Honest....

It's really great to see places putting Fozzie on pre-order, BUT...we still have yet to hear anything from Travis. Things like, the progress of Fozzie, the approximate cost of fozzie, how much will shipping cost for him or are they working some deal out like kermit, gonzo and animal? I would like to get a few things answered before pre-ordering from another website. I think its great but at the same time, daunting....we all need some sort of update. :o

I agree. Saturday will be two months since there's been a peep from Travis, other than second hand through Terry. It's interesting that Amazon has him up for pre-order and even more interesting that it says "Corgi Fozzie Photo Puppet" and not Master Replicas. But I still can't help being skeptical from things I'm hearing from people in the know.

I'm still hopeful that he's happening... just not very hopeful.

I got all excited for a minute there thinking something official had been announced. If you look at the page they list it as weighing one pound and coming with a display stand, neither of which are true. Can we change the title of the thread to something like "Order Muppet Replicas with free shipping"? If we have to have threads like these as well as the ad banners at the top of the page at least that's much more accurate.

Fozzie is no longer listed at Amazon via this link - not sure why, maybe it was a marketplace seller that had it listed. I agree with the others here, it would be nice to get an update that Fozzie is happening before any pre-order activity.

I noticed that too, but have just seen it is still available if you click on the banner ad.

Looks like the link works to me. A little unsure why this is a sticky thread since this is going through Amazon and not MR...

It just says out of stock here.

There is one thing I learned and that is you cannot believe everything you hear until you actually know the facts. Even if it is someone you know. Sometimes, that's all it is...is just rumors. I am going to wait till I hear it out of the powers that be's mouth. Tom has said several times that they are working on him, but until I see a pre-order, then we will know. ;)

:o Since this post was listed by Phillip I believe that Corgi/MR is planning to release this Fozzie Bear product. One thing I have learned working with the toy industry is that plans can change quickly - prototype picture or not. With all the work put into Fozzie at this point the company would be taking quite a loss in not manufacturing it so I lean toward this happening. It is weird that there is a prelisting for it already, but I've seen weirder. :concern:

Well all we know officially is that they have merged with Popco and become Popco Entertainment, although they haven't changed anything on the website yet. But the plan is to continue producing Master Replicas licenses so yes, until we hear anything specifically on the Muppets it does look good, so i would agree with yourself and Jamie on the positive side. Especially since the aim of this "Popco" is to specialise in pop culture.

    Up where?

:o Yep. That head is off, but I think the Amazon image is a picture taken from one of the Toy Fares (not the initial one, but a later one). It was nicely extracted from the background and posted against white.

:search: I wouldn't worry about it. It's not the best photo of the bear or even a factory sample. That is the earlier prototype. Terry made several if you remember. I couldn't locate the source image for this particular angle, but here's a composition of different Fozzies. It includes one of Terry's best posers, the Amazon picture, a classic full-body photo, the classic Fozzie face at his prime and a more modern one.

I am so ready for this bears preorder. I am wondering how long we have till he goes up. We all know we wnat him perfect. I cannot wait to get him and add him to the others. I also wonder if they figured out who is next in line for the next photo puppet. It's going to be interesting!

i think the Amazon pic is one from MR, so I was told from TCZ

If that's the case then someone at MR likely used a Toy Fare snapshot and erased the background. I believe that's where the source imagage is from. It's likely a place-holder prototype picture because of the rumored problems of the factory samples. However, that could be a sample that was taken in a very similar position. Either way it appears they have found a way to make a lackluster promotional photo of the gorgeous bear too! Darn monkey photographers in the art department! :o

Up on Amazon. Use the link in Phillip's original post in this thread.

Once again, it's a bad picture by the King's of the bad pictures. It still looks like Terry's prototype, though.

Sorry! I missed all of Page 2 of this thread before I posted this... but sounds like you guys pretty much agree with me anyway.
