They need actors who can sing. Some suggestions:

Renee Zellweger (she'd be so great with the Muppets)
Catherine Zeta-Jones
Hugh Jackman (doing something with Miss Piggy)
Jim Broadbent (character actor, let him play some characters)
John C. Reilly (see Jim Broadbent)
Nicole Kidman (why not?)
Ewan McGregor (with Piggy, again)
Queen Latifah (pity she makes her $ as a rapper, she's got a great jazz voice)
Richard Gere (again, paired with Miss Piggy)
Mel Brooks (please!)
Elliott Gould (I get the feeling he wanted to be on TMS; he's a decent song and dance man, too)
Angela Lansbury (this could certainly work)
Robin Williams (Come on, already!)
Lily Tomlin
Joan Cusack (don't know if she sings, but she's worked with Oz twice and the Muppets once)

Really? I knof she was in In & Out, what else was she on?

Here's my list...

Rick Moranis (pre-Honey I Shrunk the Kids. He was hillarious back then!)
Steve Martin (again)
Rachael Leigh Cook (I've said it before, and I'll say it again: She's so cute!)
The cast of Seinfeld
David Bowie would be good, and he's worked with the Henson company at least twice.
Alan Alda
Dick Van Dyke
Robin Williams
Jim Carey
Howie Mandell
Tom Hanks
Whoopi Goldberg (she's done so much with the Muppets, I'm sure she'd come back)

Hmm. Can't think right now.

Of course, very little is known about the format of the new show. I doubt it'll be as much of a Variety show as TMS was, and I think that's a good thing. It's a different, better direction to head.

My mistake, I was thinking of Oz's upcoming remake of The Stepford Wives, which Joan Cusack is going to be in. So she's worked with him once, and is set to work with him a second time.

Thought of more:

Kelsey Grammer (I may write an outline of this one)
David Hyde Pierce

You're right. When I walk out in front of a moving vehicle, I stand there and stare at it blankly.
