Nu-uh! Fozzie Bear did it first:

"The other day I was on my way into the Muppet Theater when suddenly I hear, 'the comedian's a bear!' No he's a-not, he's a-wearin' a neck a-tie!"

Hmm...maybe I see your point, sorta...

I'm not possitive, but usually, what I've noticed with the Disney Adventures Magazine, is that they release the "August" issue in the middle of July. So I'd expect it then. The "July" issue should be out right now, and usually there's a date hidden somewhere on the cover that says "Display until..." and that will probably tell you when to expect the next issue.

So I went to my local grocery store today and picked up the current Disney Adventures magazine, and it said that the next issue was expected on July 17th. Which is in three days! :excited:

It would be great if maybe at the end of every year (or every two years), Disney released all of it's Disney Adventures Muppet comics in a special book collection. I don't know if Muppet comics are expected for every issue once they premier, and if so the books would only include twelve issues, so making such books every 2-3 years could be good.

The Australian edition of Disney Adventures is differrent from the American issue, so I hope they use the Muppet comic strip and that it comes out simultaniously.

*ahem* Well, I feel very foolish. Obviously, July 17th is NOT in three days. :p It's in a month and three days. Excuse me while I go... I dunno.:o

    Just a month!

Oh, I'm so excited. Life is worth living again.

D'oh, the Australian August issue of Disney Adventures has just come out and it isnt in there, and I have found out that Australia isnt likely to get it as the Editor hasnt bought the strip.I am now going to order the American issue through my local comic shop.Has the issue hit the news stand over there and can someone scan it and post it here so I can see it?

I thumbed through a Disney Adventures' magazine yesterday and didnt' see it. It was even titled "Comic Zone," I think.

    I'm eagerly awaiting this!

Does anyone have the contact details for the editorial team behind this? I'd love to find out more (I'm a comic book writer myself - Mirage's Tales of the TMNT and Titan UK's TMNT Comics mag)!

I have an old Sept 1994 issue and it lists Disney Magazine Publishing Inc 500 South Buena Vista street,The Burbank Centre, Suite 100,Burbank CA 91521-6018 (818)973-4150, Fax (818)563-9344.For subscriptions and customer service (800)829-5146.Hope it is still current.Good luck.(By the way, I kept this issue because there is a Kermit interview in it on page 16, where Kermit is wearing what looks like a Roman empire outfit, He is King Midas).

    Hey there,
Do you know Jake Black? We just did the Superman Celebration in Metropolis, IL, and he was one of the guests there. He's a SUPERB writer, and a fantastic person. Also, that he is a big Blues Brothers fan makes me a little biased!

Anyway, reason I asked was that some of the Ninja Turtles prequel comics for the recent movie were written by him.

I'll bet it was for the video they put out with fairy tales on it. Muppet Classic Theater, I think was the name of it. I haven't seen it in years, but need to again.
  14. muppetperson Well-Known Member

So hasnt the strip made the August issue?
  15. Beauregard Well-Known Member

It was called Muppet Classic Theatre, and Kermit was indeed King Midis in that special (as well as the Mayor who doesn't believe the Gonzo who cried wolf...) I was slightly disappointed in this version of King Midis, though, because he turned himself gold rather than Miss Piggy. I'd have paid dearly for a golden Miss Piggy statue...

Has the August issue come out yet. Whenever i look for it all i see is the Comics Zone issue.
  17. Beauregard Well-Known Member

It is only June. Were we expecting the August issue already? *knows very little about comics and magazines, if that wasn't obvious*
  18. muppetperson Well-Known Member

It is july, and it comes out a month earlier to allow for Distribution so everywhere will have it by August.
  19. Fozzie Bear Moderator

Tell that to Master Replicas!

Did it have one side with Pirates of the Carabean and on the other side it had Ratatoullie? Yeah... that's last month's issue.
