Here it is I Want a Monster to Be My Friend at http://youtube.com/watch?v=BFEvItNyUaM. It is sung by Betty Lou. Her voice is sung by Marilyn Sokol. In 1984 this song was banned from Sesame Street, after a mother complained that some of the lyrics could encourage children to let adults abuse them.

If I make friends with a friendly monster,
I'll let him bounce me on his knee.
I'll let him do whatever he wants ta,
Especially if he's bigger than me.

i can understand why some people would think that and hope this helps.

We didn't know of any clips that were going to be on the first set until august or september last year. It would be great if we know sooner.

So has any more news been released about whether or not this set is going to be 1969-1975, or 1975-1980 or what?

-#666 Season Premire- The Count Counts Lights
-#796 Season Premire- Nobody Sees Snuffy
    -#926 Season Premire- Grover's Surprise
-#1056 Season Premire- Bert's Marching Band
-#1186 Season Premire- The Count Count's Hellos and Goodbyes

But November? NOVEMBER? What happened to "sometime between September and October">?

Since Volume 2 will include Sesame material from 1975 to 1979 I bet you that it will include the songs "Frazzle" and "The Telephone Rock"!

    :) ;)

Yeah, and if that's the case, I can remove "Telephone Rock" from my favorites list at YouTube and flag it for copyright infringement.

It's already comercially available on the Rock & Roll! DVD. Of course, I don't know whether that is still in print or not (it's been two years since I last saw a copy of the DVD in stores), and Rock & Roll! does edit the beginning and end of the song (I haven't watched this clip on You Tube, but I suppose the version on You Tube is the uncut version).
