it was a great idea they had at Palisades, and its unfourtinet that they shut down... i really miss them.

But, the figure doesn't have 100% likeness to Gobo, so i won't be bidding.

Why have you decided to give this up?

Sorry Trav... But the price is a bit high even for me, as I spent a wee more than that on the SS S1 figures from Tink.

Would be a smidge more interested in that Muppet Theater set you made though, is that thing finished?
Also, how high is Gobo compared to other figures?
And the movie does give us a bit of hope... Who knows, maybe a good company like SOTA can pick up the license and run with it when the movie gets nearer to actual release.

Wish you luck with the auction, and if it doesn't get sold, put it in a true place of honor in your collection.

To be honest, I'm not all that impressed with it's design.

Just think someones gonna pay a thousand bucks for an action figure that doesn't move all its joints and has its tail glued on .... yet think of everyone who practically made Ken go bald (ok, he was bald, but still) when their ten dollar Kermit had sticky paint or two left feet. That's irony for ya my friends! lol.

Seriously, this is a great opportunity for the once in a lifetime ultra rare prototype collectors to bag a lovely looking figure. Good luck!

Thing to remember also, this was an "early prototype", and revisions were still needed to refine it to what could've been a great premium and possibly launching figure for the third main branch of the family in figural form.

But maybe there's still hope for FR figures someday, what with the movie moving forward despite all the silly speculation going on elsewhere.

what did the bidding start at and I dint even know Palisades had considered a fraggle line

i dont think they did. I believe the idea was JUST Gobo. There weren't any sketches for any of the other Fraggles.

Why would they do just Gobo and not the other four at least

I believe ken said he was going to come out in the muppets line and was being brought out to test the waters.

Just think, HAD Palisades done their Gobo plans just a few months earlier, we'd all have a Gobo figure. *le sigh*

Then again, I feel bad for all the Sal and Sesame fans who never got to see the light of day of those figures.

There *are* some prototypes I would put some sweet money on
(like the electric mayhem minis) but I wouldnt pay more than a $100 for this.

I want to blame the Disney deal for the fact we never got this, BUT...
then again JHC would never have decided to make aFraggle film and relaunch the franchise if they still had the Muppets.

Why bring up the SS figures, Beaker? I JUST got over the sadness and you're just gunna go and do something like that? How could you do that? HOW DARE YOU! SHAME! SHAME ON YOU!

They were there... like THERE and poof GONE! GONE I TELL YOU!

::sniff:: ::sniff:: going back to the shrink... for another year

The auction description explains it. They were gonna slip Gobo into a few case assortments of Muppet figures and see how recepted he was.... then Disney mucked it all up.;)

I'm sure we'll get fraggle figures & stuff one of these years though. I mean, they're makin' a movie after all this time! If that's not a miracle, I dunno what is. :smirk: :excited:

Been waiting decades for that! To this day there has never been Fraggle action figures of any sort

Werent ya guys spose to buy him, then reverge engineer it to make a resin cast figure? It was pretty messed up not to at least have a limited number of em, even for like $30 or so.

Didnt ANY SS figures come out? I thought they came out to a few stores? They looked all ready to be shipped. What happened to all of em if they didnt ship?
