No. The call for civility refers to anti violence at political protests and not shouting down people trying to speak with chanting. Political correctness calls for the controling of speech so as not to be offensive. Civility has to do with action and political correctness has to do with speech.

For example. Some people are very politically correct, but incapable of having a civil conversation. Some people care so much about social justice that they dont care how the treat peolle with differing opinions. You can be not be offensive while still being rude.

One is in favor of speech and one is not. Civility is about allowing everyone to speak and political correctness is about not allowing certain speech by certain people.

Donald Trump is neither civil nor p.c. Antifa is p.c. but nit civil. Jordan Petetson is civil but not p.c.

At best the solution to these socal issues is how we deal with them on a personal level. Every single one of us can make a huge impact on a giant problem simply by how we treat others around us. I personally feel that if done right that even the littlest kindness respect and love shared can spread. Because I believe these things are contagious!
