Ah, my bad. There was actually a recent article I found that mentions a new bill called "the 4/20 bill" is trying to be pushed.

I mean, clearly, something has to be done about Climate Change - turning a blind eye to it (or constantly crying that it's all a liberal hoax) doesn't make it non-existent, much like everything else people try to turn a blind eye to like racial injustice, homophobia, xenophobia, and such.

Granted, I haven't heard what this supposed new green deal covers, and really, the only proposal I keep hearing anything about is AOC's financial proposal to tax the rich by 70%, because the rich (and most of the GOP) want nothing to do with it.

This is actually a rather old comic that's a few years old, but this is what's supposed to be the real reason why we have feminism:

The crazy thing is, if you flipped the last two panels, you would have what crappy men tend to say to women on the left side and what crappy women tend to say to women on the right side.

So, basically the green new deal calls for government take over of many industries in order to "over haul them" to be more green. It calls for an end to air travel and for it to be replaced by light rails. It calls for every single building in the country to be upgraded to reach peak efficiency of energy and water usage. It also, for some reason, called for a basic income for all people who are unable or unwilling to work (the unwillingly part was removed, but remains on the websites archive). It's basically a crazy plan to totally revamp most industry by forceful government ownership. It's like extreme environmentalists and socialists had a baby.

The other crazy part is, it's just a resolution. So, AOC is trying to push an insane resolution because something has to be done, yet a non-binding resolution literally means nothing as far as getting things done. Before I thought AOC was just a newbie representative who didn't really know the system yet. Now, I think she is a stark raving loon.

As far as basic income for people who can't work is concerned, this is why we have assistance programs (that people pay into) like Social Security, Disability, and the like.

As far banning air travel . . . well, I have my own issues with air travel, but I'll agree, that is insane.

Industrial buildings and such are playing a huge factor in polluting the environment and what have you, so I can kind of see where she's coming from there, but that's about it.

I just now realized that Trump's wall actually could have some educational benefits for both the U.S. and Mexico, almost like a living Sesame Street/Plaza Sesamo lesson plan: it can be used to teach both Americans and Mexicans the concepts of over, around, and under!
