ssetta, i have a question about the closing credits from the 1992-93 and 1993-94 seasons of Sesame Street that were used on reruns of Friday episodes from the 1990-91 and 1991-92 seasons. The one with Big Bird walking through the neighboorhood.

Which episode numbers from seasons 1992-93 and 93-94 seasons used this rare version of the closing credits, and which episode numbers were they reruns of from the previous two seasons, 90-91 and 91-92?

hey, Muppetdude, maybe you can get a YouTube account if you don't have one, then you can post the closing credits up for the Cindertelly episode that you have, ok? I'd really like to see that closing credit sequence with Big Bird walking through the neighboorhood

ssetta, i'm curious, which SS episodes between 1980 and 1992 used the nighttime New York skyline sequence for the closing credits, besides 2255, 2615, and 2900? Also can you tell me which versions of the closing theme were used for each episode that had the skyline sequence?

2255 had a special version of the theme that was only used one time. I think 2105 had the nighttime closing sequence and music, which was a rerun of episode 1845. Episode 1845 actually had the regular Barkley and the kids closing sequence, but with the nighttime music. I believe 2890 and 2600 both had the regular closing music and the nighttime credits. 2900 was actually a rerun of 2715, and they both had the nighttime closing theme, but they actually had the regular Barkley and the Kids closing sequence. I THINK 2880 had the nighttime closing and music. 2945 had the nighttime closing, but regular music.

wow, ssetta, I can't believe that out of the 9 episodes that you just listed, that only 2 have both the nighttime music AND the nighttime closing credits. Then again, you said that you THINK these cretain episodes had a certain version of the closing music and credits, so I guess you don't know for sure. I thought that most of the time the closing credits were at nighttime, that the nighttime theme was used. One person said that the nighttime closing credits was accompanied with the nighttime theme quite a few times. Did you happen to find that out too?

Well, see, I think the reason why 1845 originally had the Barkley and the kids closing is because that was before they had the nighttime closing sequence. But I think they thought that it really didn't look right to have that soft, sleepy music over a sequence that took place during the day, with kids running. So that's why they came out with the nighttime closing. I'm assuming it came out in either 1984 or 1985. But I still can't understand why they had the nighttime music over Barkley and the kids in 2715/2900.

There were also a few occurences when they had special music play over Barkley and the kids. I heard about one time Piri was playing the theme on his guitar, and that played over it. I also knew about an episode where Oscar had some grouch band, and they played over it. I even heard one time around 1981 or 1982 or so, there was an episode where Big Bird was playing ballerina, and was listening to some classical ballet music on his record player, and THAT played over Barkley and the kids! I bet THAT was really wierd! And I heard one time there was a violin version of it, on show 2420.

Yeah, I would say the the skyline and beach credits came out around 1985-58, because that's around the time bird land showed up. I remember story plots that revolved around Bird land and ended with it would show those credits. Correct me it I'm wrong, but I remember then showing that version of the credits on the last friday of ever month.

ssetta, I knew that episode 2255 had a special version of the theme played over the nighttime credits b/c I once saw that ending on YouTube before it was removed. However, before the credits rolled, the last thing I heard was Hoots the owl saying "That's me!" What exactly was the voiceover saying on that episode right before the closing credits were rolling, besides the episode's sponsors?
