Besides the fact that they both include a male lead named Sam trying to survive in the wilderness, the book and movie My Side of the Mountain have practically nothing in common with each other. :stick_out_tongue:

During the scene in Wizard of Oz with the Cowardly Lion, Judy Garland hides her face behind Toto because she is laughing rather than frightened.

"Somewhere Over the Rainbow" almost wasn't in The Wizard of Oz. :eek: (And that's my favorite non-Muppet song of all time.)

In the WoO book, Dorothy's slippers are sliver; they were changed to ruby to make them more visually appealing in color. (Gosh I love this movie! TBS shows it for like 2 weekends a year and this is one. :big_grin:)
