Awesome! *sigh*... let the wait begin...
Nice to see Pepe along side the other figures, I think his scale works good. I don't know what the deal is with the smaller blue Rizzo, but I hope that's the size they're going to use for him.
I had no idea the Newsman was so short!
And what is up with that artwork of a certain Muppet creator in Muppet form?!?!?! That thing came out of nowhere (I saw the thumbnail and was like... "hmm... who's that with the banjo? It's not Kermit...") Arggh!!! Now I"m dying to know what the deal with that is!!!!!!
Thanks Aerosmith for that link!!!

OMG! There are lots of surprizes in there and I think all questions have been answered by 29 little pics.
Wow! Beauregard looks fantastic. Koozebane Kermit is an amazing sculpt. You have to love those Koozebanians too. Statler and Waldorf are great mix of classic and modern interpretations. Pepe looks spectacular at a 3.4 turn. I wouldn't close that mouth for the world. Rizzo looks even better and the Newsman looks just like I always picured him!
Janice's body rocks. Many boys who don't like Muppets might pick this one up. LOL! Not sure about the fit of her hat. It kind of changes the dynamic of her face, but that's not a big deal. It's magnetic and her head under it looks just fine. Maybe that can be adjusted. The rest of her looks amazing,
The Swinetrek! Man! I want that now! First Mate Piggy looks a little more filled out like on the show. Especially in the legs - those are her legs. A very season 5 look to her face, head and hair. And her costume is pinker than the other crewmembers. I love it!
And did anyone see an interesting picture in there?
and the DID make Janice lefthanded...and shes so TALL too.
Gonzo in the red tux is just a classic...cant wait for that one.
and a Jim Henson Muppet figure prototype..complete with a kermit muppet?!?!? so awesome.
i may have just wet myself.
Wow! I wet myself with excitment!
*pulls out a bottle labled EXCITMENT and pours the liquid contents all over himself*
EDIT; Wait, where's Clifford?
Holy *expletive deleted*!!! I was gonna wait til Monday, as I wasnt sure if theyd be revealed today...BUT OMG!
The sight of those Koozebanes alone is enough to wet my pants!
And Janice, DAHAAAAAAMNNNN! Did they make her look ultra secksay or what? And PIS Piggy, finally were gonan get a non horrendous Piggy head sculpt, *yay*
These are some truly out of hand sculps...I mean look at the Two Snowths! The Penguins! Newsman! Beau! Its truly a dream come true.
A few questions:
The smaller blue Rizzo prototype: PLLLLLLEASSSSE TELL US that will be the actual size! The other size is wayyy too big
Also, is that a smaller Sam Eagle unpainted prototype I see?
Clifford, well it was hard to see the unpainted prototype, but I cant wait for him either!
Where is the Bean Bunny PVC?
A majority of these look sa-weet, but,
Statler's upper lip is way too large. It should end just at the tip of the nose, or a bit lower.(See the Marley and Marley PVC)
There's something wrong with Janice's face, I can't point it out..I think the eyes may be too close together and the lips too large...I'm not sure...
The Newsman is too short, telling by the comparison to Janice and Gonzo. Maybe they can help the situation by adding a visible waist.
Other than that, these are amazing. I've fell in love with the PVC's (Although extremley pricey, I'll pay anything for a Mahna Mahna and Snowth set) The Koozbaine Kermit is brilliant (Is he coming with a mike?) Tux Gonzo totally kicks. And the PIS set is the best yet. The possibly most beautiful thing from the collection. I am so siked about the Banjo strummin' Jim fig, complete with puppet ! I really hope this is made. Although Rizzo looks good, he'd look better the smaller size.
The Newsman always seemed short to me - and never had that much of a visible waist. The cool thing about him is I always found him the type of guy who is as tall standing up as sitting down. There are people like that.
Janice seems to have a hat issue - it doesn't seem to have anything to do with her face IMHO. If we way her hatless I'm certain some would have a different impression. Wish they'd displayed that.
Anyway, I'm sure these are far too complete for major changed, just tweaking. Adding a new torso would be way too costly - and these are the approved Henson prototypes.
What do you think about Pepe's side view? It makes the mouth open look much better.
Gonzo rules but Camila looks funny.
I think the Janice issue is that her head goes up to far after her eyes. The slop isn't nearly as stead as that. Maybe if the top of her head was cut down and made flatter.
The Koozebane Kermit is terrific! There is no need ofr a playset! I love these mini-plasysets that we will be getting. Like the Newsman and backdrop and even Rowlf's paino is like a mini-playset.
I Love the short news man. It's hilarious and so muppet like that he would have a huge upper body and sit behind a desk, yet be so short! It reminds me of the Fairly Odd Parents. There is a similar looking news man that pops up from time to time.
BOP Fozzie perfect!
PIS Piggy, close to perfect. That yellow hair bugs me but I think Ken is looking into changing that, or at least it was mentioned by him on the Palisades baords.
Statler and Waldorf look fine to me. I don't know what people were talking about with the color issue but maybe it was fixed since then. They are a great mix of so many different puppet styles.
Swine Trek is awesome! It's a little out of scale as far as height goes but if it were exactly to scale we would never get it
Beauregaurd is amazing! He looks perfect! I can't wait to get him just for the look alone.
Pepe looks good though I would have like to have seen his accessories.
I think a main point here is that if Palisades can get away with makink more of these cool mini-playset things like News Reporter Kermit it would be awesome! Though a Koozbane playset probably would have had a backdrop and spring loaded Merdelodops
Hoo Hoo! ding ding! Palisades is the greatest! It took me and hour and 1/2 to look at all the pic's because of the loading time, it did start to speed up a lot after the first 1/2 hour.
Tux Gonzo looks so much better then the photo we got in the CC letter, I don't know if it was retooled or the lighting, but wow, that's gonzo! Camilla looks better too, just I think she would be cooler "if" it was posable for her to have moveable wings, and maybe something done to her eyes.
The newsman is dead on! He's a short nerdy guy, it comes from all that stuff falling on his head, I hope Henson brings him back!
Beau looks awsome!!!! Pepe looks much better with the eyes! Painted BOP Fozzie is amazing!, oh my gosh, I didn't know we would be seeing ALL of this!
PIS Piggy is perfect! The Swine Trek is magnificent! I don't know, and I don't think so, but do the doors on the side's open and close? I can't really see them doing that unless they worked like a reg door, not sliding. The PIS figures will have there logo's right? The tex on the unpainted link and pork look's great!
There wasn't any real good shots of reg Waldorf, unless I missed some? But the face on the EX vadvile one looks great! I do feel Statler needs some work in the face. But the EX look great, I was hoping that there arms and legs or just legs could bend like the PIS figs or reg S&W fig's you know to make them "dance";-) maybe they will, I would figure they would have the same thing for the sitting reg Statler and Waldorf, they must still be working on it.
Janice looks nice! very nice! maybe a tweek in the eyes, but very nice, I wonder what Bryon is thinking of THAT! no, wait i don't wanna know!
Question on Koosbain Kermit, which by the way looks spectauler! will the koosbains have legs? i can't really see them, they look like they don't have any, i would think the male and female one's would. but they look too cool for this planet! LOL!
Everything looks great!!! i really love the jim henson figure drawing!! can't wait to see Cillford too!
I found that little stand Camilla is standing very cute, but she isn't coming with it i bet.
Zack,Rowlf the, Dog.
Many people have been saying Janice looks off but they can't pin point. Well I think I did. I "fixed" the photo a bit with MS Paint. It's choppy but it looks way better.
when they showed the package front covers you could see clifford.ALL THE FIGURES ARE SOOOOO C L esspecialy Gonzo and Kermit But first mate piggy's suit has the PIS logo but that playset is cool aswell as the kermit reporter I wish they had thog a larger regular figure size EERRRR!
but all of the figures are .
They all look amazingly brilliant! But Janice's hair needs to be yellow yellow YELLOW. Big Bird yellow. Yellow as yellow gets. Plus, if Janice's hair is rully yellow, it'll make Piggy's hair look less yellow.
Statler's face is off. He needs a bigger longer hawk-like nose.
And I hope that awesome Reporter Kermit comes with his hat and microphone.
Love Beauregard, The Newsman & Waldorf!
We'll we've already been told no hat and since his hands aren't closed, probably no mic either. But with those Koozbanians who needs a mic and hat?
I think Janic's hat is put on weird because it looks starnge in that pic.
Those do look great, but I agree about Camilla looking kind of odd. I think it's the shape of her eyes. The ones here look more like a flat oval shape. They need to be rounder like in this picture: http://www.kermitage.com/html/characterindex/tms/characterc.html
Also, did we lose Marvin Suggs? I was one of the people that was excited about getting him!
Marvin's in series 7 (Last we heard he was) and at Toyfare they only had upto Series 6, so don't worry he's not there cause none of series seven are there (Johnny, Sal & one other one)
All I have to say about those pictures is depends....
After I saw those pictures I wet myself. I need some depends right now.
Janice is too skinny.
Ok, wow some amazing stuff there and lots to comment on, suffice to say that our Kenneth has been keeping a lot under his hat lately (has enough room without the hair) so you kinda have to wonder what the heck they are gonna surprise us with for the rest of the year. I'd seen more or less all of these things at the UK Toy Fair in 2D face forward photo form but it's a whole different ballgame seeing them in 3D and from all angles - too cool !
Statler & Waldorf :- I really like them. The original pic i saw of Waldorf at the Uk fair had him a lot redder, maybe it was the lighting but i think the skin tones are great now. The look i think is very close to accurate although they do have kinda a comicy look to them. I liked the Vaudeville versions a lot too.
Beau :- The sculpt is perfect, i remember seeing the unpainted prototype picture and knew that then. There's something i don't like about the painted version - although the body is excellent i think the face looks a bit washed out, though it's been commented to me that you can't see the texture in the photo so maybe this isn't a problem on the actual figure. I'm impressed with his outfit - the colors and the wrinkles in his clothes etc.
B.O.P Fozzie :- I like him a lot - my only criticism would be that for an action figure, the paint contrast between the jacket and shirt isn't different enough - but then it's an accurate U.S cop uniform and changing it would change that, i can see this selling out fast and to a wider audience than just Muppet fans which is a great idea to get the line more recognition. It's going to be cool seeing all his accessories. I saw he is behind a plaque saying 'Exclusive' - no idea whether thats store or Toyfare.
Newsman :- I really like him, especially the paintwork and application. The height seems ok to me - perhaps a tiny bit too small but nothing to worry about. I like his glasses - thank god they didn't do crappy glasses like the Ned Flanders figures have. Once you see him with the accessories and stuff i bet you'll be blown away. He's one of the strongest figures for me.
Pepe The Prawn :- It helps to see him at an angle to appreciate him more, but my comments are pretty much the same as from the picture i saw at the UK Fair. I really like him and especially think they've done an excellent job on his hair. I do agree with people that there is something way 'off' with Pepe though i don't think it's the mouth being open - seeing that bit at a side angle i think helps it look better, posssibly it could be closed a tiny bit more. I think the problem is he does NOT have the Pepe expression - it's just a gaping stare. Maybe them sorting out the eyes will help, but i just think he's a very hard character to turn into an action figure. The thing about the actual Pepe puppet is that it looks better and more expressionate in close up 'TV' form than a drawing of a full body Pepe looks. Also on TV/Film, Pepes movements are quick, Bill uses movement to create the cheeky Pepe expressions and i'd bet it's nigh on impossible to recreate this with a figure. I also think, and have had reservations for a while that the blue hoodie wasn't the best outfit to have him in, though there wasn't much choice unless you aren't 'show accurate' - just doesn't work that well on a full body figure for me but it does look good and well designed overall. His scale looks great to me.
Janice :- I think the body is excellent - love the colors, love the short skirt, i like her tall and skinny. The detail and paint on the shoes and bangles is nice and i like what they've done with the belt. I agree with Jamie that the hat is making the figure look worse than it is - bad positioning there. I actually like the coloring of her hair. I do think maybe her eyes are a little too squinty. 'Boobage' is cool !
Gonzo & Camilla :- I absolutely adore this figure - it's the best representation of Gonzo ever. The suit is a lot redder than the purple shot i saw before so i guess thats changed. He looks better at an angle than the face forward shots that the CC saw. The facial look is right and the colors on the face/nose are perfect to me - i think they are totally right. I'm not too hot on Camilla seeing her like this - basically to me it's a generic muppet chicken and not Camilla. It looks great as a chicken, but the thing that set Camilla aside from the other muppet chickens was her expressions - this chicken is expressionless ! Maybe if they opened her beak a little more and gave her eyes more of a dilated, alarmed look it might be Camilla but i think we have an imposter chicken ! If the facotry put that shiny paint over Gonzo's fur then i'm going over there to kick butt - don't change a thing with him !
FM Piggy :- I think they've got her body just right, i have a problem with her face. It's better but it still isn't right. The hair is too yellow and theres something about the facial expression thats wrong. She's ok, and will look great in with the playset.
Sam Arrow :- I like him, the outfits great. Maybe the blue skin color is a little too dark. He looks massive. I like the detail on the feet - very cool. I think the Palisades photos looked better though.
Strangepork & Link :- They look good, not as good as the Palisades photos again. They lack something for me, but it's good that they are doing these brightly painted figures for the PIS playset as i think it needs it ..... comments to follow !
Swinetrek :- Most people like it, but i don't - i think it's dull and boring, not as bad as, but similar to the Muppet Labs. They've taken artistic liberties with the set to try to make it more varied, but they've kept the paintwork show accurate, just washed out dull grey and red which in my opinion is a big mistake. It'll look better when you have all the brightly colored figures in there but to sell, the piece will have to be attractive and work on it's own or just with Piggy placed in it. I like what they've done with the seats, especially the edges and detailed front, and if they can get the doors opening/closing it'll be a lot cooler but still to me, it's just a load of grey panellling with seats and it's low on interactivity, there's only so much you can do with endless buttons and levers. If they are bothering to break away from the set design then i don't see why they couldn't have introduced a few more original bits and spruced up the colors on the panelling a little bit, maybe a mix of that grey, red and a more metallic silver around the edges of panels and things. It's not THAT bad, but it's not a patch on the Swedish Chef's kitchen and i think they'll lose a lot of momentum because of that. Maybe it'll help that people should hopefully recognise it (a bit) but it's not gonna help impulse buyers if the other PIS figures have already sold out and left the shelves. I guess space/sci fi fans (and so a wider audience will like it). I dunno, i just think SO much more could have been done with this - i'm so not impressed !
Reporter Kermit & Koozebanians I really love this figure - it's a much better interpretation of Kermit than the regular one - he looks better wearing something and the detail and paint on the coat is excellent. Great look on his face too. Big climbdown on the Koozebanians - while i think it's better having them like this than a big playset i love em. They are all great looking and contrast well with Kermit, i also really like the idea of these mini playsets - excellent stuff.
Rizzo The Rat One of my favorite figures, i like the yellow regular version best. I'm probably in the minority of liking a larger Rizzo than a shorter one - more detail and makes for a better likeness but i guess theres a scale issue there anyway. The detail on him is very good, like him from the side better than the front but very good overall.
Bunsen & Beaker Tux :- Never got the point of all the Tuxedo figures till i saw Rowlf, but i quite like these guys in the tuxes too. Not a bad idea of Ken's - as a Tux collection i'm sure all these will look great.
Too Messed-Up Chef :- Nuff said about him, he looks better and worse than the Palisades photos. The face looks a tiny bit better in these shots, less mess on the face. Now though from this view it seems to have exploded onto the body - way too much. I'm sure the fans would have loved just a straight red repaint with some tiny little marks on the apron, (maybe a handprint - as someone suggested to me), a few specks of flour on his nose and moustache. This is exactly what it says it is - literally a catastrophe, hope Palisades sort it out. The lobsters don't do it for me either - i don't get whats so special about these three so-so looking lobsters that just sit there, it was ludicracy to spend a lot more money going to the trouble of ever sculpting these individually, what a waste. Still let the 30 or so hardcore fans have their little nods i guess, even if it does make a show figure more expensive and not any more likely to sell. *sigh*
Jim Henson Muppet :- Wow - very nice drawing. Pretty much accurate but there are probably some better reference photos around they could do with seeing - what a surprise. This shows Palisades really cares about the line and that they have gone out of their way to give fans what they want (as if we didnt know that with the lobsters). Great accessories - i'm sure everyone will hopefully have a chance to get one.
All in all some really lovely stuff !
