Well...at least I got to see a couple of unpaved episodes when I did, all I saw was #1740, the water shortage, and the other one I forgot.

Secret Squirrel, if you're out there....

We all seem to have the same issue here, and most of us are coming up with the same solution - can you give us some insight as to what's going on at Sesame Workshop? I know Caroll Spinney mentioned at his booksigning that he's aware that fans aren't happy with the number of episodes...what's SS's response?

I assume you'd make us all happy if you could  , but I think we'd rest easier if we knew a little of the back story. Is it strictly an issue of funding? Too much to do? Are the old episodes unavailable? What's going on?

I was at a book signing. He mentioned that it was because of the buy back of the SS Muppets that they had little money. Unfortunately they sink money into other projects. I mean, Dragon Tales is complete garbage. It's too cutesy and precious for anyone over the age of 2 to watch. Dump that! No one would care. I mean, this season is better than last season, but still weak. The weakest thing would be IMO the lack of episodes. 26. I mean, that's barely a month's worth of episodes, and tho rerun them until next April (unless they are further delaied) hoo boy. I mean, at the least rerun episodes from season 31 or something. As a stop gap if anything else. I don't even watch it anymore because of this.

>>This is pretty Sad, And I know that Teenagers just make fun of The Muppets Because they don't remember what they did. ""Have you ever seen an episdoe of The Muppet Show ?" I would ask, And They would say "Well, When I was Little." Only If They Watched The Muppets Again, They would understand it better then judging it.<<

Teenagers want garbage like Jacka** and the Man show. You know... soft porn and nasty cruelty. I mean, puppet characters that turn into Chocolate cakes, get blown up, or chase each other with cleavers and pour chocolate on a moose... that doesn't hold the little dolts... they want crap for crap's sake.

Hey man, I'm a teen, and I still watch Sesame Street and muppets everyday! Sure other teens would tease me, make fun of me, and insist that I'm watching baby shows, but I know that behind everyone else's backs, they watch "baby shows" themselves. You guys are lucky, Caroll never came to my town for booksigning, and I wanted his autograph :frown:

me too!!! i don't have any TV so I can't watch every day - but I own so many of the episodes on VHS and DVD and I love to watch those!! True - many of my friends think this is odd, but all of them admit that the other shows have no value too. So, even if teens tend to be a bit silly we dos till posess brains - we just don't posess high quality Sesame Street :concern:

Did you see these old clips in episode 4037?

If any of you saw episode #4037 about Super Grover's cape, tell me if you saw the following old clips in the episode:
*A clip about, "Body Parts Cooperation" with voiceover by Biff and his niece Roxie Marie?
*An old animated clip in which a boy helps an alien find its way to the baseball diamond where its mothership has landed

I sure did! I completely forgot about the "Baseball Diamond" animation! Also, look at show #4032. That has some classics in it, like "Country #2" song, and a Henson-voiced Ernie & Bert sketch called "Paper clip" song.

Well, I used to make my own horrible thread few months ago about today's SS season and our favorite shows...until this time...

I was 100% dead wrong!

I'm now a nice MC folk, and I really don't want to hurt your feelings anymore. Can we still be friends on our forum?

I'm a teen as well and I still love the show. It just cracks me up sometimes. I only get to watch it because of my brother. There are some flaws to the newer episodes though, and has anyone noticed that they've changed the characters a bit? You can no longer see the strings that were once attached to their hands, and Cookie Monster's mouth has gotten smaller through the years.
