I remember that show.
To be honest, I never could relate to it.
As I was just a little girl...and well...
I did not mature enough to really realize his crush for
Patty. I thought it seemed dull.

Now that I look back to it...
It played a big part in my growing up.
I don't quite relate to it now--even to this day.

But, I thought it to be cute.

And yes, I do remember it.
With a certain fondness.

I saw the Doug movie without realising that it was part of a series. I thought it was the cutest thing ever. Very endearing.

Ahhh-eee-ooo.... KILLER TOFU!

I really loved this show. It was so fun yet somehow honest too. And I think it's cool how everyone was a different colour.

"I eat my sugar cereal but it makes my teeth bacterial!"

I loved the Beets, thought it was hilarious how in every one of their episodes Doug gets to meet them. And then every next time, Doug's depressed because he might not meet them, lol.

Their names were great: Monroe Yoder, Chap Lipman, Wendy Nespas, Flounder Lol

Oh yeah I always loved how everyone was different colors on the show to the extreme and no one cared.

I remember watching an interview with Jim Jinkins and he was talking about how Roger was based on a bully with the same name who used to give him a hard time all the time as a child.

"What did you do about it?" he was asked, and he replied "absolutely nothing!"

Lol, I hear you, Jim, unfortunately.

Two of my favorite Doug moments:

When Doug's fantasizing about being a Rock star and he's asked where he gets his inspiration:

"Oh anywhere! Like this plunger for instance. I could just pick it up and go 'Whoaaaa, plunger plunger, Whoooaaaa, plunger plunger!...You know, like that!"

And when he imagines himself as the ultra calm guy with the huge Afro that used paint on public television (I still remember the real guy):

"Ooookkk...today we're going to paint...a lake! We'll just take a little of this happy blue and here we have...a lake!" Lol
