    Thanks for the congrats...

In other news, the EM playset sculpt was approved! That means I can basically start showing the prototype sculpt at any time. I can't upload here or I would, so I will have to try to work it into a Daily Bit down the road. But that's great news for me...was worried that it might have to go through a 2nd round.

I would do it here even with the slow connection, but there is no space for posting in this forum yet, at least I don't think there is, but I could be wrong.

What if you email the pic to Phil. As administrator he would be able to post the pic for all to see. Cant wait to see the new home for my fave character and all her bandmates.

I think the series 2 Figures look great !

I think Floyds eyebrows need triming or make them a bit wilder.
And Animals hair needs to be wilder on his top lip and bottom lip and on his head.

    They are great tho !

    See ya

    Dr. Teeth exclusive

Just got a response from Lauren Lafayette at Palisades about the Dr. Teeth exclusive. Very nice and straight forward. Says there will probably be a decision about whether Dr. Teeth will be available on their website a few weeks after the Philly show.

Gonzo looks great! I don't wana wait till the end of the summer to get my hands on him! Wow-- these figures are going to be amazing!! (We can really shoot Gonzo out of the canon-- how cool is that!)

Great work Ken, keep it up!

Series 2 looks great! I agree Animal is a little off but no big deal. I can't wait to get my hands on a crazy harry figure.

Janice in Sex and Violence was performed by Fran Brill. After she decided not to work on TMS, the role was given to Eren.

    Re: Thog figure

Well Ken, like I said, earlier when you mentioned the larger figures you said you'd do Sweetums and maybe DogLion and that would probably be it. I'm just offering Thog instead of DogLion since he was a more established personality and more recognizable character than DogLion.

Are you sure about Sweetums being 12 inches to scale? It's true Muppets aren't very big, but when the normal-sized ones are held up above the puppeteer's head they come up past Sweetums's waist. Since you're doing the figures as they would stand had they any legs, I would think they wouldn't be less than half of Sweetums's height. Of course, I doubt anyone ever measured the distance from the top of the puppets' heads to the floor, but I just thought I'd throw it in. I fiddled around with a measuring tape this weekend at work to try and form a mental picture of the figures in real size, and with Sweetums being 12 inches he seemed, in my brain, too large in scale. 8 or 9 would probably be too small, but 10 or 11 inches would probably work just fine. Plus, if Sweetums were 10 inches then Thog could be under 15 inches (perhaps 13?) and thus more feasible as a figure. Perhaps I should start another thread, "Thog or DogLion?", and see what I get. If the demand is there, is it possible you could make him? It's true he's rather obscure, but in terms of monsters he's probably the 2nd most important, memorable and recognizable after Sweetums. In the early days, Thog WAS the primary large monster character. With the advent of The Muppet Show, that position shifted to Sweetums, but in Season One Sweetums and Thog were still the top monsters. They make a nicely contrasting pair the two of them, and it would add another deluxe figure to the line.

Sorry to ramble and rant and rave. A Thog figure is just something I'm passionate about. I've wanted one my whole life. If you made a Thog figure, I'd kiss the ground you walk on.

I agree. I really really want Thog too (definitlely instead of Doglion). He was always a fave of mine.

I also agree that if Kermit is around 4 1/2 inches, Sweetums would be about twice that - coming in at around 9 or so inches. And lets not forget that his scale can be "cheated out" and it wouldn't likely bother most of us (or me, at least).

This is what I think they could do with Thog. I wouldn't mind if they were about the same size - Thog's spike could make him taller. So if Sweetums were about 9 1/2 inches, Thog could be nearly 10 with the horn. I really would care less about the proportion and more about their inclusion in the series.

    Hey Ken,
Just a little side note, while on the topic of Rowlf and his piano. I was just wondering if maybe it would be possible to include a bench for him to sit on. I know he has legs now, along with Dr. Teeth, as opposed to how they were usually seen, but I still imagine they'd both be quite uncomfortable playing their respective instruments while standing straight up. Perhaps, later additions in the series? Maybe a stand-alone accessories pack? Just wanted to know/suggest. Thanks a lot. Take care.

    My two cents worth:

I'd prefer Thog to Doglion too.

Rowlf definitely needs a bench! Pianos come with benches.

Dr. Teeth is fine without a bench-- I've never seen anyone sit at keyboards in concert. But pianists always sit-- at least that's my experience.

    Series 2 pics

WOW! Ken, once again, you and your folks over there are doing a really terrific job. I know I'm a little late on mentioning this, but I'm still just getting used to the new board. Anyways, I'm very pleased with all of them, but especially Gonzo. It seems he's come a long way since the initially released pics. Also to have it confirmed that he can be shot out of the cannon is such a thrill. I was thinking though, that maybe his nose could be a little darker blue/purple for the suited one, reflecting a bit of his earlier days.
As far as complaints, while looking at the sig. icon of Harry on the board, side by side with the fig, it seems like maybe his skin could use a little darkening. Otherwise, he's just about perfect. Also, even though the figure as a whole looks really great, I must agree that Animal's upper head hair is just too rounded and close to his head. It almost makes him look more tame, maybe a little feminine (Nothing against females, Raech, and anyone else, but Animal's a guy, and a wild one, at that, always looking for his WO-MAN!!!!!).
I'm sure once he has his drums/stage, he'll be totally rocking, plus I'd like to see comparison shots with his eyebrows up and down, but I'm sure that'll happen, soon enough. All in all, I'm very impressed, and can't wait to see these in stores, even though I am still waiting to see Series 1 in stores, first. Keep up the great work, and thanks again for continually keeping us posted. Take care.

I have to state that the Crazy Harry avatar you are referring to comes from my collection and I did a lot of tweaking to the pic to get it right. Actually Harry's skin is relatively light, but it washed out the image when I tried to correct it.

Just thought I'd comment. It does appear a little to light on the figre, but I think there was too much light on his face in the photo. Just my take.

So how Do the Pic Look?
Because I can't see them. I went to their sit and I can't find them.

I just checked and they are still listed in the daily bit. If you still do not see them, press refresh a few times and if that doesn't work, you may try getting rid of your cookies. It will show up eventually anyway, but if they really aren't showing up then that should help.

    Rowlf's Piano

I vote for the brown one with the scrolls (or whatever they're called) on the sides.

    Hey all,

Sweetums was fairly high profile, and made it into the movies with various speaking lines. He is certainly in my mind a shoe-in as a figure. Because of his size, I can't get the figure into a package for the regular assortment. SO...I have to figure out a way to make him. It'll happen I'm sure. As for the other big monsters, it's just too far away to know. If it does happen, you can have Thog if Henson agrees. BUT...it is still too far down the road to even be working it out yet.

All your points are noted and logged though.

As for the bench for the piano, there won't be one. When you see the Rowlf figure, you'll understand why. Why? Wouldn't be able to sit on it at all. His lower body just isn't built that way, or rather the figures is not, becuase its a mighty hunk of PVC and had to be sculptural. Sorry...

Crazy Harry colors, heck all the colors, are still the victim of photography. All of them are a little light. So hard to show something in a single photo or two.
