The Count is off counting Twiddlebugs on the edge of the grassy border, while Uncle Deadly sips at a cup of soda used to soak a full devilled egg.

Ernie: (calling out) Who wants to play baseball?
Big Bird: Me me me!
Ernie: Okay! Let's pick teams. First we need two captains.
Bert: Why don't you be one of the captains, Ernie?
Ernie: Okay.
Bry: Red, you be the other.
Ernie: Great, Bryan!

Ernie: Yeah, but both teams are short by a player.
Big Bird: Huh?
Ernie: Well, there's always 9 players on a baseball team.
Hoots: (swoops down) Mind if I join ya?
Ernie: Oh hey, Hoots. Sure! Welcome! We're still short one though.
Snuffy: (comes shuffling up a hill) There you are, Bird! I thought we had a playdate today.
Big Bird: Oh no! Snuffy, I forgot! I'm so sorry. You wanna join us on our picnic?
Snuffy: Sure! You got any spaghetti?
Big Bird: Maybe, but right now we're playing baseball. You can be on my team.
Snuffy: Great! Dohohoho!
Bert: Now can we start, Ernie?
Ernie: Let's play ball!

(everyone takes the field with Hoots added to Ernie's team and Snuffy to Red's team)

Ooh yeah... Haven't played since my high school days. Course, that was just in gym class... And I squatted down as catcher with the coach guiding me to find the ball after it landed in the ground...
But still, good times.

*Gets into place behind Red as she steps up for the first at bat.

*Beth hits a ball into left field as Wanda rounds the bases towards home*

Count: Ah ha! That's 1, 1 run for our team! Oh, how I love sports.
Come on, you and I both know it's really the stats you love.
Count: 2 true, 2 true.

UD: Did you feel that?
Count: Vhat?
UD: It's almost as if Ryan's back. But that can't be... He said he'd be gone for a whole week. And yet, I have this feeling...

Ryan: *walks out to the bleachers* *yawns* Man it's good to be back... especially since I'm back early. I've missed everyone so- *is hit in the head with another baseball*

Glad i didn't forget the goodies like i did last time.

Murray: Yep.
