I'm definitely getting the DVD Set. But, I'm very disappointed in the edits. Still happy to get what we will be getting, though.

I'd like to add that I would have happily paid a higher retail price for the DVD set if only to help offset the costs of the song rights that caused the cuts, if that is the case at all.

Hmm.. the best buy deal sounds pretty good. That would be like getting MWOO for 5.99 ..wow..

I have never seen it, is it worth getting.. because I think I might do that.. but if it isn't that great I will just grab TMS.

I wonder what the walmart deal is.. I'll have to call tonight to see where to get it.. I guess I will just get it at BestBuy if they have it. Depends on who is getting it in tommorow in my area.

Well, I guess the question is whether members of the general public would still have bought it. Maybe to expand the Muppets' fan base they need to keep the price down... I don't know. I'm not trying to make excuses, because I hate the idea of edits--just trying to figure out why it had to be this way.

I'm still buying them, of course. Even if I had all of the uncut episodes already, which I don't, I'd buy it. After all, in that case it wouldn't be uncut episodes I was after, but the video quality and the extras. Looks like it's still a pretty worthwhile set.

Also, keep in mind that we are getting a lot of extras..plus, the additional trivia for every episode.

Does anyone know if their is any commentary for the episodes? That would be great.. Usually I will watch all the episodes on a DVD, then go back and watch the episodes again with commentary on.

The commentary is the Muppet Morsels. It's just visual instead of audio.

Is ya'lls a supercenter or not? If it is a supercenter then hoe did you find out about the TMS DVD?

    what ?

i saw it in the weekly ad and on the internet

My walmart is open 24hrs i will be there @ 12:01 am 8 hrs and 53 mins from now my freind is holding it for me

It would be more wise to buy MWoO and the Season 1 set from Best Buy together. Even if you don't want MWoO now, I would think most people who actually post here are diehard enough to own all the dvds hehe. :zany:

I'll be going to Walmart too. Since it shows on the Internet then it has to have it. Mine stays open 24 hours too. YEAAAAAAA!!!!

  14. Kimp the Shrimp Active Member

no i will watch epsiode one @ 8am when i get to work
  15. MrsPepper Active Member

How you you sit indian style? **raises one eyebrow** I hope you mean cross-legged.

Sorry to derail the thread just to be politically correct.. **coughs** :o
  16. Ernie101 Active Member

I hope this doesn't sound rude, because I'm not trying to be in ANY way.

However, from around here.. well I suppose in most of America(assuming that is not where you're from) sitting crosslegged is referred to as sitting "indian styled". They teach it to you in you're younger years..

and if you're from America, I am sorry for the misunderstanding.

    Hope that helps you :)

Now back to the topic at hand..

I'm assuming Kimp has already picked it up by now..

I ordered TMS:S1 and the Wizard of Oz DVD from DVDsoon and as per usual they're showing no signs of actually shipping them... they've really gone downhill recently :(
  19. Ernie101 Active Member

That sucks, especially since you preordered them. Now you have to wait even longer.. Join the team..
