    GORILLA GOO ROCKS!!!! It's actually the glazing that leaked ovewr it's packaging in the Muppet Labs playset!

    Yeah 'Gorilla Goo' seems to be becoming quite an affectionately known Palisades trademark - maybe they oughta sell it as a brand of soda ! LOL !

    Matt, when I questioned them I was told that they can't look up anything at all, including whether or not it's been received in the warehouse ... and this was from two people behind the customer service desk standing next to a computer which they never touched.

    I don't have a problem with being patient while I wait for the figures, but I do have a problem with poor customer service. I didn't intend to attack Toys R Us in general and I'm sorry if I offended you. Believe me, I've worked my share of retail jobs and I know how hard most people work for little pay.

    Though Walker Boh and Matleo had the right notion,that it's not the employees fault, I have to say a lot of people working at these things aren't so qualified and well basically a Goo-less Gorilla can do this job. I'm saying this because I had my fair share of rude people working there! Plus, I tried to get a job at one and they never called me back! Drat.

    But I rully blame the company! I mean, I saw this ad (during Recess today, DON'T JUDGE) in which they will have all this Cabbage patch Stuff out by Saturday (or something like that). The company cares more about the rebirth of some ugly fad from the 1980's (Heck, even the SMurfs were cuter than those) than the Muppet line. I mean, if one of us were to choose between an ugly baby doll or a Crazy Harry (or Gonzo, Fozzie, Floyd...) I mean, the choice is stinkin' obvious!

    Hey, Luke: So even if the figures aren't at the stores on 15 November, I gotta' have something to do in the meantime until we approach the date. Even if the figures aren't there, at least I had fun with a small creative endeavor to whittle away the time. PS: Gorilla Goo might make a nice cola and maybe I'd like its taste, but nothing can make me dissolve my loyalty to Figgy Fizz!

    Well, Count, it looks like your letter countdown (which Rocks, I must say!) can't quite be used in New England...unless of course you use the extended alphabet from the Dr. Seuss classic on Beyond Zebra (in which the Doc invented new letters). It's going to Stinkin' take forever for those things to ship to toys R Us. Unless it was Yu-Gi-Oh or Harry Potter, in which case they'll send for some super sonic speed to deliver them the next day!

    Man, I hate Priority shipping!

    Hey Count,

    Thats cool - i wasn't trying to put anyone down. I hope they are there for you on November 15th. It just amazes me sometimes how these two dollar an hour reps can estimate the speed of ships sailing across turbulent waters down to an exact day. You'd think if they were that smart they'd be working for the government or something. :p

    in the past few months that system's become standardized at all TRUs in the US, so most, if not all of them, do have it. and I think that having some information that may be correct is better than being told "I don't know, I can't check, now go away" I still work at TRU and would NEVER tell this to a customer. :)

    Drtooth: What's this Seussian classic of which you speak? Can you give me a few examples of the good doctor's inventions in the field of lettering?
    Luke: That's OK, just having a little lark until S2 gets to the stores. If not on mid-November, then at least they'll make it for my family to get them as B-day presents on my ununbirthday.

    sorry not to stir up mixed feelings here, but I too have had poor service from TRU here in Canada. In fact my experience of having a senior employee tell me flat out in September that the entire Muppet Figure line was cancelled, turned me to search for the truth. So I began to search for the truth, Agent Mulder Style! Which lead me to this forum... and there I learnt about EB and now they are my "holy land" of Muppet figures.

    Palisades was so kind as to send me a letter telling me that the Muppet line was not cancelled to reassure my fears (great folk!) and that TRU should be selling them. I was so tempted to take it to the TRU and show them. Ughh.... Maybe I still should!

    For all those that work at TRU and provide excellent customer service, I praise you! I only wish you guys were cloned and worked at my TRU... but now I will continue to preorder my figures from EB!

    OK I understand now. In your posts, I had been under the misunderstanding that you hads spoke with an associate on the floor, and that you were upset about her makign a statement that as I said was 'half-true'. I know not every TRU or every TRU employee actually practices 'customer satisfaction'. It's weird too cause I work at KRU next door where they DRILL customer satisfaction. Anyway, thank you for clarifying your experience for me.


    Personally, my TRU experiences have depended on the individual store. I've gone too the one in East Brunswick and had no problem, the one in Freehold where you have to spell out what you're looking for for them, but eventually they do help, and the one next door to where I work where ......they could learn to be a little more helpful. So yeah there are some TRUs that are better than others. thanks again for clarifying.

    The poor service isn't a problem of this entire store ... just certain employees. When I was picking up Series One, everyone I encountered was so helpful and friendly, from the guy who got the playset down from the top of the shelf to the woman walking the floor who started up a conversation with me about the Muppets when she saw I had the figures. I've just been wondering where those people went!

    TRU hasn't driven me away yet, because I have had some positive experiences there ... but they're getting a closer to losing me each time something like this happens. I'm fortunate enough to have several other stores that carry the figures not too far away (EB, EBX, and Suncoast), so if I ever get too fed up with it I'll just go somewhere else. The whole experience has been a perfect example of why it's so important for stores to emphasize customer satisfaction (like your KRU is doing), because sometimes all it takes is one bad experience to lose a customer forever.

    Ken posted over on the Palisades forum that he now thinks these figures are going to show up on the shelves imminently so it could be a lot sooner. Apparently the other Palisades product that was shipped just before the Muppets has already arrived on shelves. Just thought i'd let you guys know.

    Great! I'll be passing close by TRU tomorrow, so I'll try to stop by and check just in case. I won't bug any employees this time, though. :D

    check sunday as well, they've got a flyer coming out then, and some stores don't put anything out until saturday night.
