It drives me crazy when people automatically think that all Muppets are on Sesame Street. That basically ended for me when the 2011 movie came out, but it still sometimes happens.

Here's a new one... "Beeker" instead of "Beaker".
That's an easy enough mistake to make, especially since "Beeker" isn't a Muppet character but a Disney monster-categorized character. :seek:

When I picked up the new Diamond Select Figures The cashier called Fozzie and Gonzo: Baby Bear and Grover.

Hey, on the bright side, at least the cashier is one of the few people that knows Baby Bear exists!

Oh yeah I surprise the cashier knew that but, I give people credit if they know who is Telly or Snuffy.

Here's a new one that just popped up. "Sweetus" instead of "Sweetums". :grr:

Was this said verbally, or in text? Could have just been a typo.

Yes, it was most probably a typo, but then again I see a lot of similar things dealing with the registration notifications of new members joining the forum when sorting if said new member's a legitimate person or not.

Here are some other ones I heard at school when I was younger:
"I don't like Grover, isn't he the one that lives in that trash can?"
"My little brother was watching Sesame Street and they had Dracula on there,"
*sees a kid wearing a Beaker shirt*
    Me:That's an awesome shirt!
Boy wearing shirt:I know right. Beaker was my favorite character on Sesame Street when I was little.
*rolls eyes* *thinks to myself in Hank Hill's voice* That boy ain't right!

The Count pretty much is Dracula, but in purple form.

Your right. But I thought he meant Dracula as in the classic horror movie monster and didn't know who he was really talking about.

I vaguely remember a comment on a YouTube video of a Dave Goelz/Gonzo Q&A critiquing Goelz on not keeping his lips shut while performing Gonzo. :sigh:

When Big Bird said the names of people wrong, such as Mr. Hooper.

No. People as in the residents on Sesame Street.

I think you're missing the point of the thread. We're mentioning mistakes that average Joes make in regards to the Muppets. :insatiable:

I thought Sesame Street counted too.

Sesame is fine, but what you posted was a mistake that a fictinoal character made, not an actual person.
