Hmm, I think Im starting to feel the love: Pepe in series 7!!!
(just in time for the fox show)

Now then, here's my dream list:

    Jim Henson Hour:

Now how sweet would those figures be, especially a Digit?
That could very well be the coolest sculpt in the history of action figure kind.

How come no one has mentioned "the third penguin on the left" in any of the lineups?

I'm also curious about what an At the Dance playset would look like, seeing that it was mostly just a few lights on a ceiling and a colourful background. Big playtime fun!!

LOL! I can see an At The Dance set with a disco sort of flavor. Liberal interpretation, but hey I'd buy it. Disco ball in the middle and glowing tiled floor with a Disco Kermit. Not what some purists would want.

How did I forget Annie Sue and Mahna Mahna & the two Snowths? Revision time.

Reading these over, I think I like Frogboy's list even better than mine. Up to Series 9 anyway (not too crazy about Muppets Tonight figures; not too crazy about Muppets Tonight).

Statler, Waldorf, Lips and Patrol Fozzie- nice, varied, interesting... great series! Whaddya think, Ken?

Ken had said that in order to do a motorcycle it would have to be a playset situation.

Where would you put Annie Sue and Mahna Mahna in? Come on, you know you want a Mahna Mahna.

I think Muppet Sports might work as a playset- have a track and field and various events set up: wig racing, goldfish shooting, bagpipe eating, horseshoe pitching, cross country billiards. Then again, maybe not. Plus, it would be carried by Louis Kazagger. Is it Louis or Lewis?

S & W are currently slated for Series 6. Lew Zealand is in Series 3, Sam the Eagle in Series 4. Sweetums is coming with the backstage playset supplemental to Series 6 and I believe he's going to be about 9 to 9.5 inches. The figures are about 4-6 inches, with Piggy at 6.5 and I'm not sure about Fozzie & Sam. If Sweetums is 9.5 then he'll be I think 3 inches taller than the current tallest figure, and Piggy would come up to his chin, presumably. As long as Sweetums's body is bulkier, not just taller, the scale should look great. I was able to mentally picture a 9.5 inch Sweetums alongside my other figures, with the head taking up about 1/3 of the body height- I think it's gonna look sweet if done right (like that's something we need to worry about!)

I think Sweetums is coming with the theater playset that is slated to be realeased seperatetly next summer along side series 6. Cool though! This is a Must Have! I'm sure it will be so expensive, but I'll have to buy 2.

Thanx for the compliments on my list. I tried to be even about the characters and a little realistic too. I have a feeling that we're all way off though, but it is a wish list.

Problems with Annie Sue and Mahna Mahna-
Annie Sue may not sell that well and the laymen will confuse her with a Miss Piggy variant. Even though I would like her very much, it seems unlikely from that standpoint. I hope I'm wrong, but this is a wish list anyway. Ken already said they didn't have the rights to Mahna and that Henson wasn't supporting the idea much. To pack-in 2 Snowths would be clallenging too.

sounds like someone has that mighty cool muppet show book from 1978. Making your own robot frog would be easy, just glue a wind up thing to the back of Kermit. If one has time and patience, a lot of the variants people ar emaking can be made from existing or figures coming up.

    Re: Mahna Mahna

Frogboy, I heard Ken say Mahna Mahna wasn't covered by the current contract. This means that, true, Palisades doesn't have the rights but at the same time it makes it sounds like getting them isn't totally out of the question. Never heard that Henson wasn't supporting it; where'd you hear that? And why aren't they supporting it?

It could have been another character Ken mentioned, but I thought he said they weren't supporting Mahna. You know, that should be the Muppet Fest variant IMHO!

Well, I know they nixed the idea of the Jim Henson Muppet. Don't know what else they frowned at.

To: Frogboy Re: At the Dance playset

Hey you know, if they did an At the Dance playset they could make it adaptable. Make the normal playset with the chandeliers and make them detachable so you can switch them with colored 'lights' and put a spot in the middle where you can attach the mirror ball. It can go from fancy ballroom to discotheque!

There is one disadvantage to an At the Dance playset overall, though: it requires a ceiling. Most playsets I've seen (and I'll admit I've seen few) when they're of a place don't have a ceiling. It casts a shadow and restricts not only the amount of light but also the amount of free space. It can make a playset seem boxy and confining, plus dark.

I did, however, just think of something that might lessen the effects. The ceiling, chandeliers, lights, mirror ball etc. need some place to attach to some sort of base. On the show they were hung from the studio ceiling, but here they need a base. Well, perhaps the walls could be made of see-through plastic with a flat hollow middle where you can slide the backdrop in. Angle the sides outward to keep it from being boxy and maybe don't have the ceiling cover the whole thing. If there was a way to move the color through clear sides without lessening the light then it might work even better and may be worth doing. I don't know much about the technical side... but I'm sure Ken knows a few things! Maybe use tinted clear plastic, but cloudy it enough to let in light and nothing else. I dunno. Ken, any ideas? Liking any of what you're hearing, er, reading?

And what do you think, Frogboy? And what do you think, everybody else?

I'd say maybe a clear strip accross the top of the set - or maybe just a clear rod.

OK, my turn. I pit a lot of thought ino this, but it meshes with a lot od things that have already been said. Same stuff different order.

Series 6: Stat, Waldo, Lewis Kazaager, Chief Link, Bear on Patrol playset: w/ Fozzie

Series 7: Uncle Deadly, Marvin Suggs, Nurse Piggy, Nurse Janice, Vet's Hospital w/ Rowlf

Series 8: Pepe, Cliford, Lips, JP Grosse, Dressing Room with some for m of Scooter variant,

Series 9: Johnny, Sal, Mahana Mahna, Snowths, Piggy w/ Motor cycle

Series 10: Bobo, Dr. Phil, Bean, Pops Don't have a regular playset, but a deluxe ackstage w/ Thog would be cool.

  19. I just want
    cajun shrimp
    sweedish chef
    burnt beaker[from a explosion]
    other than that
