I just checked and it does have the HDMI plugs on the back of the TV.
A Blu-ray player can connect to any TV, but only the higher definition sets are going to give users the enhanced picture.
Still, the interactive menus, greater disc durability, enhanced sound and more bonus features that can fit on a Blu-ray disc make it a good investment. It really should be the version you get if you want to keep a physical copy of the movie for posterity.
It's up to the individual, of course.
Tell that to my blu ray player that could ONLY connect via HDMI. It was literally the only port on the device.
People just need to research before they buy and not make the same mistake I did...
I have a copy from YT. and I wanna burn it. But I don't know any good DVD makers.. any suggestions?
Roxio Burn. Its not free though. My computer came with it already installed so...
I will try it, and thank you very much.
This will do until the 4k version
Is the release going to have the film fest, deleted scenes, behind the scenes footage at all? I've read some reviews on Amazon but it must be rumors because it's not even released yet. Personally I don't like the cover. Why they can't just have the original movie poster as the cover, I don't know why. Then again, I'm old school. lol Still, I loved to own it on Blu-ray.
Just placed my pre-order for the Blu-ray using the provided link. Can't wait.
I don't see the logic in kids having that much ADHD that the original poster or video cover doesn't stand out in a sea of exactly the same looking DVD covers. But that's their logic in marketing these things. I wonder how much ownership Drew has over his own artworks and if Disney thought it would be cheaper to do this than pay any royalties if that's the case.
Still, hardly the worst use of photomanipulations in Muppet merchandise. I don't think even Henson would have released this with the original cover. I mean, the Sony release cover is cute, but hardly in the same league as the poster/original home video covers.
I AM SO EXCITED THAT I WANT TO THROW THE BIGGEST MUPPETY PARTY EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS MUPPETS FOR NEARLY 35 YEARS OF LAUGHTER THANK YOU
Adding to that, hopefully the Blu-Ray release will include a trailer for the next Muppet movie.
I'd be surprised if it even has a teaser ready then. It would work wonders to put a trailer on that DVD, but if it doesn't exist yet, there's no way it could be.
Really, you all are thinking the trailer is going to come out sooner than it really is.
I misread "Original Trailers" the first time, thinking that it meant trailers for other movies. It took me to look at the Disney Movies page for me to realize that indeed this release will include original Muppet Movie ads! The page also mentions "Outtake Easter Eggs" which probably means that deleted footage will be hidden on the disc somewhere.
I'm just so dern' giddy that Disney is putting a considerable amount of effort into this release. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to frolic in some flowers somewhere...
if i'm honest these special features don't excite me at all... I've already got most of them and I hate how these Pepe Profiles keep popping up it's a great idea but very badly executed and they just keep showing up. At least we're getting the film on Blu-Ray so i'll just stop complaining now
I dont get what the pre book date is?
"Pre-book" is basically another word for "pre-order."
Oh and they bumped it from 18 to 26
The bonus features for the disc have been confirmed. They include:
Disney Intermission Frog-E-Oke Sing-Along
Jim Frawley’s Extended Camera Test
Doc Hopper’s Extended Camera Test Commercial
Original Theatrical Trailers
Outtake Easter Eggs
Pepe Profiles Kermit - A Frog’s Life
Separate names with a comma.
