I definitely remember arcades. A roller rink my family went to a lot had so many cool games - Ninja Turtles, Pac-Man, etc. I didn't play them a whole lot but I'd watch other kids :)

You'll have to run them through DOSbox.

Wow I'm such a dork! I'm falling in love with some classic PS2 games all over again. I'm almost done with Final Fantisy X and I just started Resident Evil Code Veronica. I'm also going to be starting soon Kingdom Hearts again. I'm finding myself falling back into a thing where i will stay up to the wee hours of the morning playing games, to avoid thinking about my personal life, and problems. Well it could be worse i could be doing drugs to do that.

After years of knowing that I was stuck at Tube of Medusa, I have finally got the genesis collection and have Beaten Ecco 2, along with Ecco and Ecco Jr (although thats not exaclty a huge accomplishment)

But lets just say, now I can really appreciate how great Ecco really is. Although I still jump at points of ecco 1

I've recently created a mission for myself - I'm going to find and buy a Nintendo, Super Nintendo, N64, or Sega. My parents sold my NES and SNES and I want them back :( Also, I have the retro itch.

If you have a PS2 or PSP then you can always buy the Sega Genasis Collection... :halo:

I found some video game emulators for the computer that are pretty cool. I found ones for Sega, NES, SNES, Gameboy, and N64.

I have the NES and SNES emulators, but it's just not the same. I suppose I could stick with that until a future date.

Anybody else hear about the new Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Bros games coming out on the Wii? :)

They both look amazing--Galaxy 2 especially! I absolutely ADORE the first Galaxy and never expected a sequel, but I'm not at all complaining about them making one.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii looks excellent as well--good old classic fun! :insatiable:

Yeah, four people playing Super Mario looks SUPER fun :D Can you imagine four people defeating Bowser at once? :D Trouble is I know no gamers around here so the multi-player wouldn't really be used by me, I suppose :p

Last year I got a FC Twin system that you can play NES and SNES games on. I love it, and have been happily seeking out and buying the games I used to love playing at my cousin's or friend's houses when I was a kid .

I'm a crappy gamer, but I still have a blast playing the games.

I'm also a huge fan of the Star Wars: Dark Forces/Jedi Knight PC games!

^ Yeah, I've been looking at those NES/SNES combo things on Ebay. Thinking of getting one then stocking up my collection all over again :) Trouble is I can't remember ALL the names of the games I used to have. And some are probably pretty rare/expensive now :(
